Hi to all !

I rented a RAQ4i from a company which is also do offering here in this forum.

i have it 3 month now --> everything worked fine

Yesterday at 21:30 European Time i got an mail with the following content.

"Please email your telnet username and password and also you password to
this email address. Failure to do so will keep us from being also to put
your server back online after we move to the new facility this evening."

I phoned them up what is going on - i had no idea that they will change NOC. I did not receive any mail from them before about the change.

Now i am offline 25 Sites are down. Also the companies site where i got the RAQ is down.

What would you do in a situation like this? I am running a Webhosting biz.

Forgot to mention that the IP range is also changing therefore i have to change DNS servers IP - wich needs at least 24 hours
 :bawling:

First thing I would inform my clients of what is happening, then try to contact your provider and settle the problem.

i dont understand that they are changing the IP Adresses too?

Some of my customers already claim the extra cost in changing IP pointing of their Domains.

I am offline now 7 hours and at least another 24

Tell your clients taht you are changing datacenter's, and underline that the new facility will be much better - faster, greater uptime etc.

If they really move to a new NOC they probably are not able to keep the IPs.
But their behaviour is unacceptable.
