Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening

Whereever you are this will apply i would think.

How many hours of radio do you listen to in an average week?

What stations do you listen to the most and when?

How many hours of TV do you watch in an average week?

What channels do you watch the most and when?

I used to watch a lot of telly and much more than the amount of radio that i would listen to but now it has reversed itself and some of what i used to watch is no longer on the radar if you know what i mean.

I'd say i listen to at least 42-49 hours of radio in a week and that would be a pretty conservatice estimate. Things like BBC Radio fivelive, BBC World Serrvice and Talksport and a DAB radio station called Life.

TV is probably at 6-10 hours i guess but if there was some breaking news or a one off show or if a series returned from its break that might spike but that figure i cannot predict. In TV terms we're talking the likes of Sky One, Sky News, CNN, BBC1 and 2 and Channel 4, Discovery Channels, Sky Sports across the board and Sky Movies now and then.

You??

Thanks for your time and taking part

The radio simply sucks, there's not a single station I can recieve that is not sorry, of the 2 local "rock" stations, one is a classic rock station with a playlist of I swear, 61 songs, they play the same crap over and over, I mean come on there is SO MUCH classic rock out there you could play ONLY "big" hits and never repeat in probably a week, yet these ignoramouses will repeat 7 or 8 times per DAY seriously. The other "rock" station is just pop rock top 40 crap with some classic rock thrown in. I've thought about getting XM radio but I'm just afraid it'll suck wind too.

Thanks to Tivo I watch more tv than I used to but absolutely nothing I don't want to. TV without Tivo(or similar) service is not an option anymore.

I shoudl add, the digital music on my cable service kicks butt though, the heavy metal channel is really good, though they COULD expand to a larger playlist but it's passable.

I very rarely listen to the radio, simply because I don't like the music that plays on Australian radio. I am, however, listening to music constantly.

I'll count my music as radio and choose "more than 26 hours".

I watch four shows on TV: 24, Alias, Las Vegas and Frasier. The first three add up to 3 hours a week, and I watch Frasier when having dinner. I also watch the late news in the evenings, so about 8 hours a week.

I do have the TV on a fair amount. Mainly Sky again with Sky One, News, Sports and Movies being the main channels I watch. I find that I watch the regular channels such as BBC1 very rarely.

...Blue Danube Radio is a good European radio station, but I don't listen to the radio, if I'm not on the road driving someplace...

I could live without TV and Radio! Just can't live without PC + Broadband.

Seldom listen to the radio (listen to CDs), and never watch TV, though we do watch a lot of movies on DVD. 'Friends' came and went, and I never once saw it.

I occasionally watch TV during the late night, and use the radio to wake up to. However, both the TV and Radio are full of ads and reruns.

Maybe I should look into XM..

Yeah I like dvd's :) got quite a few shows on dvd, CSI, Sopranos, Simpsons, All in the Family, Family Guy and some more, got a few more on tap, mainly Farscape.

As for Friends, I watched about half an episode once, and I felt my iq dropping by the second so I flipped it to something else.

Well the amount of watchable TV is at a real minimum right now although it isn't helped by 2 of my 3 long term series being in their off season [Stargate SG1 and Spooks]. You people who say you watch no or little TV [ha, i thought i didn't watch much], what about watching the News or sports?

I also have a growing DVD collection and that is where i watch msot of my films but before you can get your TV shows on DVD you do normally watch it on the telly first.

By the sounds of it, where some of you people are the radio is.....well a bit crap or from your perspective at least. I have to say that the two stations i listen to the most, BBC Radio fivelive and TalkSport are very high quality quality in their entertainment and info and format for different reasons. They're both 24hr News/Sport radio stations with the usual mix of guests and discusssion and phone-ins on the side. One of them has no adverts and the other isn't too bad on that bad, you can live with it. I like to keep informed and up to date as much as possible and these are two very good sources.

There is BBC World Service for when i am out of the country.

I listen to about 40 hours of radio a week... I listen to CFMI via the web or my husband's online radio station from work. When I am in transit, I listen in my car...

TV? I watch some reality TV, but try to keep it to a minimum in the summer months. :) So, I watch maybe 3 - 5 hours a week in spring/summer and in fall/winter watch double that.

Cheers,

Jenn.
