I have an auction image hosting service for sale. There is a stable group of~30 customers paying 4.99 per month billed quarterly. Some are on paypal subscription but most have to be billed each quarter.

The oldest customer signed up 5-26-03 the newest signed in March, 2004. Turnover is small but steady as sellers come and go. (I don't have an automated billing system and billing needs to be done now. That's one of the reasons I want to sell)

The customers are all auction sellers who use the features of this system and will not want to convert to standard hosting.

The system runs on home-made perl requiring (perlMagick) imagemagick. Hosting is paid up until the end of the year on a stable server. The current plan is too small for expansion. Bandwidth peaked at 15GB during the holidays and will taper off during the summer. Disc Space used by 30 customers is ~ 500MB.

A saavy operator will recode in php and move to a larger plan before the fall selling season. I've taken good care of the customers and you should be able to leverage the good will for many new sign-ups.

All payments are by Paypal therefore cashflow can be verified. I will have a complete transaction list available for a serious buyer. Monthly income averages $150 and I will entertain offers based on a reasonable multiple.

Thanks for your time!

Please PM for initial contact.

Just an update..

I received a few PMs with 'I might be interested,' 'send me the stats,' 'how many customers - what plans?' ETC.

I appreciate all interest but please understand I won't take the time to reply to those types of questions. There is only one 'plan' it's described above. There are no stats. This is an image host serving images to (mostly) ebay auctions. Stats are meaningless, they all have the same referrer - eBay. the log files are huge and are deleted often.

As mentioned in bold in the original post, the existing customers rely on the image management features of the site and will not likely convert to normal hosting - it's not the same thing.

The site has verifiable revenue of $150 per month over the past 11 months. Hosting cost can be computed from the bandwidth and storage numbers given in the original post. This is nothing special, just a small profitable website if you are seriously in the market for such a thing.

Thanks to everyone who has shown an interest.

Be sure to do something nice to your mom today!

Please at least provide the site URL...You think we're going to buy a site when we havent even seen it!?

I would like to know the url of the site also... can send in PM if you don't want to post it here.

Do you have a way to get new customers, and will you share that with a buyer?

Actually I don't have a way to get new customers. I have not promoted the site, because as I said above, there is no more room.

As to the URL, even though there are only about 30 customers, they have not been informed. I don't think it would be fair to them, to me, or to the (potential) new owner to make the site public. I'm surprised that anyone who might be a serious buyer for this type of project would not fully understand that.

I find it very anoying that there are so many people on this board who actually are not able to read. The seller clearly stated "Please PM for initial contact."

Instead of taking the time to read and understand what a seller or buyer posts many jump on the thread and post silly questions. Why should a seller post the URL of his site in public???

Slightly of topic, I know, but this happens quite often and is very irritating.

:) i sent a PM doesnot recieve any reply yet. Basically if you buy a site you need to analize every aspect of it. If some one provide details it will be easy to to do so.

I apologize to those who I did not get back to. Truth be told this is the first time I ever posted an offer like this and I learned some things.

I received enough offers to determine the worth of the site. Unfortunately it does not appear to be worth more than a few months receipts so it just doesn't make sense to sell.

I do appreciate the response and would ask the MODs to please close the thread,
