I am looking into getting an AMD server from rackshack but need to ask a few questions first.

I asked their tech support if they offered any kind of backup solution and got no answer. Do an y customers or anyone know if they do? I already know a second hd but anything else?

How many ips are included with the system and why is there such a high price on ips? There is really not that much work involded is there?

And can I run a gaming server on a server?

Also does anybody have a new server I can look at and ping to get some times? Please post the address to the site so Ic an get a feel for the speed.

Just a thought:
If they don't answer pre sales questions, how fast will they answer your support questions?

You can run game servers, actually be a great use of the AMD box.

As far as backup, dont think they have any kind of solution. Have to backup whatever you want yourself.

As for IP's they give you only one to cut costs basically. They want to dsicourage you from using 20-30 which would be a big expense for them consdering how many servers they host.

I wont be asking many support questions as seeing I have found a server administrator willing to admin for a bit of space and bw.
