Its been a week, I have been recieving fraudlent orders on 2checkout constantly, 2 of them passed out without a problem and I had to call the people to verify them and had to refund them their money.

I used traceroute but both the orders originated from the same place as mentioned on the CC. This is really hampering our business, what other ways can one follow to track the orders that are fraudlent? or which CC processor has the best stolen CC tracking system in place? the thing is one of the orders was from India so i was able to call the person (I live in India) but the second one was from Jakarta and I had to use long distance to confirm it. :(

Thats the information that was used to buy out our product, the domain salemview.com says it is unavailable, the phone no doesnt work when you call it.. the address looks suspicious, anyone else got orders from the same person?

Quite suspicious if you can't contact them. To keep yourself out of trouble you would refund the money and forget about it.

yeah i have indeed refunded that order and also sent an email to 2checkout staff to look into the matter, are there any fees on refunds?

Often a little, but not nearly as much as a chargeback. You'll probably still be paying processing fees on the transactions, for example.

Its worth the $50 to invest in. This program bascially give you a idea of a physical location of an IP. If the IP of the order originated from India and the address info is United Kingdom then you will know at a high percentage that it will be a fraud.

I have told you, both the order, both of 'em, originated from the very same place as on CC info, how can one track fraudlent orders that originate from the same country?

Well, if you continue to get fake orders from the same IP, do what we do, block the IP from your server or even as far as your network, You'll generally find that there are kids out there that want a lot of hosting with stolen cc's but if you block the few IP's they use to signup for fake orders then they can't do a thing.. :)

Be warned thou you might have to block a few proxy services as well, but then again, why is anyone signing up for hosting with you via an anonymous proxy service anyhow... Their giving your their name/address and credit card so they have no reason to hide their IP unless they are trying to fake the nfo :)

We have added the CSV value of the credit card on our order form and it has cut down on fraudulent orders.

Yeah, I emailed 2checkout support and they blocked it too

I am not offering online signups and I do verify the CC before activating the a/c of my customers but it doesnt feel right to be charged for hefty transaction fees (This person went for the $349 license) and then refunding the order but then you have to bypass the chargeback fees, so far so good I hope 2checkout improves their fraudlent CC checking system

If you use third party billing like ibBill.com, you let them handle the headache. :stickout
