(sorry in advance if this is posted in the wrong forum) :D

This is probably such a foolish question to some of you pros, but what is the best way to transfer your website to a new web host?

I just switched to a new host for my reseller account today and I have quite a few subdomains set up and also a few databases and I need a way to transfer all of my website's contents to my new host. I tried using the backup feature in CPanel, then restoring it on my new hosting space, but in the CPanel for my new host it says:

cPanel System Backup is not enabled on this machine. Some other type of backup system may be in place, however downloads cannot be fetched using this module

So, if anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated right about now :)

Thanks!!!

Hiya - your new host should be able to do this for you - best to check with them :)

Good luck with the new people - let us know how it turns out!

thanks to you both for the help :) I am trying to FXP my site , but yet again my old host is down (for the 4th time in about 2 weeks, 2nd time today alone) which is the major reason I have even switched hosts. So now it's just a matter of waiting...

Sorry to hear that - i hope it works out better for you this time. I looked at your sites earlier, it's a nice idea - especially having Eliza on the homepage! :D
