 | View Full Version : Cancelling server at Rackspace GeorgeC 11-22-2001, 08:11 PM Has anyone here ever cancelled a server with Rackspace? Is there in fact a 30 day notice required, and are they adamant on this? I'm asking this because I've already transferred everything to a new host, and the letter I got from Rackspace indicates my old server will be pulled 30 days from time of my cancel request. That would mean I'd have to pay for both sides for next month. Argh. Chicken 11-23-2001, 03:43 AM Read the AUP, but I've seen that before (at my provider actualy). They are the only company that I've seen a 'private' server being offered. Or does anyone know of somewhere else that offers it? I thought it was like a shared server, but it's not, it's a completely private server which is much better, but I'm not sure if it's any good, would anyone like to comment on it please? Luck you then :) I was just told by Rackspace they cannot deviate from the 30 day cancellation term. I wish I had kept my original contract, and taken a look if I am obligated to pay an extra month I won't be using.
