I try to install neomail package from :

http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/all/neomail-1.25-5.pkg

to my CobaltRaq3 server but fail!

there are error message :

"Problem installing package component : neomail-1.25-scps5 noarch-rpm"

any body can help me to solve this problem?

I got same error...

It seems like your RaQ does'nt have updates/packages intsalled in a series. If you are with Tera-Byte, then e-mail them and they would solve this problem out.

How to UN-INSTALL Neomail version before 1.25-5 on my server? ( I want to replace with new version)

Login as su- (root) and perform the following:



cd /var/lib/cobalt/uninstallers

ls

./neomail-something.uninst



Where you should replace 'neomail-something.uninst' file with the name of the neomail uninstall file you are showed when you do directory listing.

Are you sure that Neomail is installed? Try going to www.domain.com/neomail

where www.domain.com is any domain that is hosted on your server!

I try www.domain.com/neomail = FILE NOT FOUND

But I try via Telnet :

LOCATE NEOMAIL

I see many files which contain NEOMAIL words
(I think several weeks ago my technician fail to install this module and cannot delete it)

I saw neomail files on some directories (more than 100 lines):

Well, those files are the files in which the preferences were saved. Don't know what I mean?

Well, remember when you first time enter your username and password? It asks you for your name, email and etc?

Well, those are the files which contain these settings!

I don't think that not deleting those files would cause you any harm. They would be barely 1kb. So I guess 1mb won't harm you. :)

I was getting the same error with neomail on a RaQ3. I recently installed the webalizer 2.0 pkg from http://cobalt-aid.sourceforge.net/files/. Last night, I tried the neomail package again (for giggles) and it worked, no problem.

I can't say for sure that the webalizer pkg made the difference, but given that I didn't install anything else in between, it has me wondering if the webalizer pkg installs a file (some files) that also allows the neomail pkg to work.

/home/sites/home/users/admin/
/home/sites/site3/web/neomail/
(more than 1000 files!)

And then install .PKG newer module , it's works!
