View Full Version : E-commerce solution for downloads?

Let me know if this question should be asked elsewhere.

My client has set up an online merchant account, and wants to sell downloadable files (her audio seminars specifically) on her site. We need an e-commerce solution to collect payment info upon clicking a Buy button, and then start the download of whatever product was ordered. There are fewer than 10 products and the site exists--we just need a system to link the Buy buttons to, that can use her online merchant account and collect credit card info securely. Ideally, we would use some service on another server so that we don't have to worry about security on her server. (In fact she already sells her physical books through an outside server/fulfillment center, and that works fine--but they can't do downloads just physical shipment.) We'd also rather not switch servers at this late date since the site is about to be promoted heavily and that switchover would take time we don't have.

Is there any service you would recommend? We'd consider any option that gets the job done--ideally it would be low-cost and not heavily branded with some other company's name--but mainly we just need to collect payment for downloads.

Thanks!

As you already have a merchant account, I would recommend WorldPay (http://www.worldpay.com)

Yes WorldPay are good. I've implemented a site using them recently and they made it really easy.
