Is Zoneedit.com down?

I have 3 domains with them. One is a real IP account. The rest two are webforwards to subdirectories of the first one.

The one with the real IP address is accessible. It also has a mail forward to another email address that works properly. It's nameservers are ns2 and ns3.zoneedit.com

But the two Webforward accounts are not accessible. One of the webforward domains has an account with everyone.net Email, community and search. I have done the CNAME and MX for these domains. These mail, community and search are accessible. Also the MX also works fine. All the mails reach the destination at everyone.net properly. The nameservers for this account are ns1 and ns5.zoneedit.com

Only the webforward isnt working.

Also, http://www.zoneedit.com isn't accessible. So I can't find their email address to contact them. Both the request for webforward accounts and http://www.zoneedit.com seem to resolve to 209.73.15.236 which seems to be down.

Does anybody else have the same problem? What's happenning to them? I'm located in India and VSNL is my local DNS.

I did a query for the nameservers ns1.zoneedit.com and ns5.zoneedit.com
It appears to me the IP addresses of these nameservers have changed. Is it so?

Somebody please help.

Thanks.

Wing.

I have a name that I put on redirect with them and it is not working either http://www.ourartpage.com. It was a free service and I was using the name for a site yet so no big deal for me but for others probably.

I wasn't expecting much because I was sure they would eventually drown in redirects because they were giving them free, but was hoping their business model would work out. Lets hope they have just experienced a glitch.

My 5 domains at zoneedit are working just fine (just pinged, all real IPs, no hidden frame stuff).

An hour later, now, the http://www.zoneedit.com is accessible. It throws some crappy messages like some SSI, but atleast something comes from the server.
Quote:
%public-init% %head-start% %head-end% %body-start% %panel-start% %panel-content-start%

Earlier, there was nothing. It said the site could not be found. But still the links on that page are not working.

ANd if I try to access my site stanmed.net that uses their webforward, I get a message something like %bad-url%

And exactly now, 10 minutes later, that too is gone. IE says page is not available. The earlier crappy page too is gone.

Hope they fix it within today.

All 3 of mine are down, as is zoneedit.com itself. It's a great service, and I'd be happy to pay for a comparable service--does anyone know of any alternatives? Really all I need is WebForward and MailForward.

Jim,
I too have a real IP with zoneedit and it works. Only the forwards are not working. Because all of them use the webserver (seems to be on NT) for redirecting. This Web server also hosts their website http://www.zoneedit.com

This webserver is down. Try managing your domains. You'll find that you are unable even to access their site.

I wish they start load balancing web forwards too, just like the Nameservers. Distribute the customers equally on many webservers for webforward service.

It's a great service being offered for free, but then it's another thing to have your site go down.

Zoneedit.com is up again. I just checked it.
My sites are working. My important site administered there is my college students site: http://www.stanmed.net which is a forward. Was feeling bad as it was just about getting launched and my folks will get suspicious about the reliability of its services.

Now it's back, but dunno if they are testing or it's up and solid. I received a mail 9 hrs back, but read it only now. Don't know how long zoneedit was down.

Anyone knows? Please tell me.

Wing. :)
