I'm looking to register a couple of new domains and i keep seeing enom brought up here. I am starting a web hosting biz in a few months from now and would also like to resell domain, although not too many. A couple of questions:
1) Why is Enom so bloody expensive for .com domains? They are asking $29.95 a year.
2) From reading the FAQs on this site, Enom wants a minimum of $500 to begin reselling domains. Way out of my ball-park for this start up.
I'm just looking at need to register some of my own (around 5), transfer some current ones, and resell probably no more than 10-15 domains a month (but would prefer the transparency of reseller scripting). I'd prefer to do all the managment of these from one central location. Also, $29 a year is a bit unreasonable, I'm looking more at around $10 year.
One last thing - one reason why Enom is appealing is that it has .com.cn and .com.tw TLDs, which is what I want as I will host in Greater China (.hk would be great too, but I haven't seen a registrar with that yet).
Any ideas or direction?
Cheers,
Todd
