Which host would you advise me to use to host a new vbulletin forum. It needs to be a shared plan, the first month.
Do you know any host that have a good or bad policy about this?
(I heard aletia for example only wants vbulletin as a forum script hosted on their servers)
Any good or bad experiences concerning vbulletin/shared plan?
Thanks!

I haven't heard of any host not accepting vBulletin - some don't accept flat file boards due to their server load.
And a small vbulletin board doesn't put much stress on the server so every host should be fine. But if you want to grow your board (and who doesn't want that) I would suggest to go with a host who is able to provide either bigger plans (>15GB traffic) or a dedicated server when the time has come....

I think that means aletia only recommend php bulletin board to run on their servers, and it doesn't mean you need to have a server with them to run the vb.
If you have a server, I believe you can run a ubb without any problems since it's your server and your high load average doesn't affect others.

Aletia lets you run any php/mysql (non flat file) message board.
