Free web hosting company (heh), Go2Click.com, will shut down 11/25/2001. their site has links to "other great free web hosting providers" including TheGlobe.com, which closed in August. (double heh)

No one ever, in the history of the Universe, has ever grown a sucessful business offerring a free service ...

business and free in the same sentence is an oxymoron ... if it's free then it ain't business and if it's business it sure ain't free

What happened to the days of folks willing to pay a premium for quality services? The most popular criteria when "shopping" seems to be price. What the heck has gone wrong with industry today? I'd like to just pack up and retire, but "competing" has broken my bank account. I'm becoming just another sheep!

Television, radio, travel agents etc... all offer free services as their main product. They all have revenue streams other than the consumer paying for the product (content or services).

Not that I think these one time fee hosts are going to be profitable, just something to think about

Uhm, its a tricky business.. doesnt mean it's not profitable or cant be handlred reliably, but you definately need to be a guru in online success....

After some thought, I am actually devising plans now for 2 new free hosting companies adult and non adult and getting back into this game.. But they do promote other business That I am close too..... I think thats the key focus area Use them to grow your other services and respected partners/companies.......

Depending on others for your income from this business is a poor strategy.. I personally have lost thousands from companies that dissappear and not pay for services rendered. And that can be doom for any company when it loses its main captial source with nowhere to turn quick.

I do have massive experience in this field.. And Lets just say
I have learned and grown from my mistakes already, free hosting
is no cake walk business.. Its extremely challenging.

Especially if you are dipping your toes in this industry.. you are probably doomed. Theres no time for trying new things.

The problem is most that offer this service, are not experienced enuff to be doing so, or have no real goal in mind other than thinking they are going to make a million dollars, not on where its going to be coming from..

Ok im babbling again.. sorry :)
