I have a site hosted by HostRocket and personally think their service is just simply awesome despite some recent unhappy posts about them in webhostingtalk.

My vote goes 100% to HostRocket. ;)

Nah, this is what my advertising lecturer called as "self-promotion". Just don't get caught by Chicken, pal :D

Host Rocket is funny. You either really love them or you really hate them.

That's right, netsolutions. I've seen a lot of people say some pretty nasty things about them, yet in the same time I've also encountered a lot of comments or even praises from the people that really like them.

Funny, funny, funny...

What about you, netsolutions? any experience with them before?

Actually yes. I hosted my bass fishing site with them. They are suppose to have this amazing 99.something% uptime guarantee. I counted a total of 42 hours my site was down in just the 10 days I was with them. Horrible support to. I will say this for them though they did honor my money back guarantee.

Do you really need 500 megs of disk storage space? I don't know any hosts which I could recommend which offer so much space for $70/yr.

The Prohacker, did you take a look of his web site before reporting him? From what I can see, he isn't recommending his own services, rather referring to a comparison of web hosts on his site. I don't even think he's offering web hosting himself.

Thanks for backing me up avara. I didn't even push my page. I just showed a price and some features. Some people have never heard that you can copy and paste, which is the exact option I left for this post. You don't have to go to my page to visit Host X2. Just copy and paste.

AWH claim on their web site that you can use as much bandwidth as you want with NO BANDWIDTH CHARGES. Also, when you leave their site, you get an annoying popup window with banners and advertising in it.

I think that should ring alarm bells.

Try site5.com, I've been with them since the beginning of october and they've been excellent. Support is answered within 24 hours and all the admins are very professional. They have a plan comparison chart here: http://www.site5.com/services/shared/comparison.html - I have the WebExec plan, and it's worth every penny.

When I was looking for a new host in late September I compared HostRocket and Site5: http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=23640&highlight=site5, Christoph's reply is what made up my mind. Hope this helps!

You might also check out F5Hosting (http://www.f5hosting.com)

I have my site there and they're awesome. Support, service, everything. You get a lot of features for the prices too.

Good luck!
