Hello

I just wanted to start a thread to speak about specifications, negative and positive points of different control panel software.

I will appereciate if those who have worked with all of them can contribute.

Regards,
Mac

If you do a search, this has been really overly dragged and drawn out...

There are many views on each product, It`s like a car, if you like it use it. While i can go on on on on on and on about each one of the features of each Control panel.

Some controls are designed for Clients domains and some are designed for owner controls like managing the server.

Some have autobilling and some are better for security, some have more features for the server, but what attracts clients.

Play with at least 3 - 5 of them see what fits your needs for your business.

Plesk , H-sphere, Control Panel , Ensim, Webpanel and Sphera.

Even though i like to add that Sphera just raised 15 Million cause the first round of 12 million is depleated, "I still do not know a client who is running that product." 27 Million to make a Control Panel ,, hmmmmmmmmmm

Insane!!

Exactly. There is no "perfect software", only software that gets the job done in the way that suits the user. Highly subjective stuff.

Sphera? Are they on anyone's radar screen?

Think of it this way. Do you want easier administration or more features. Then again do you want it easy for you or for your clients. The list of questions goes on.
All have some or the other good features.

Best is to be customer oriented and see what your clients want.... here cpanel is goon. If your administration load is very high then plesk, webmin ... come to the rescue....

As mentioned earlier this is very subjective... :)

Have a great day :)

"I still do not know a client who is running that product."

:D

Actually they have a few large partners. Most are based outside the US. You don't just get 15 million anymore for free. You have to show some chance of profit.

No but you know what I mean. We are starting to have the same discussion as last night.

People, before you start a new thread, look at the ones already going.

You can't blame me.

People ask the same question over and over.

I, of course, have to answer the same answer everytime. :stickout

Joe, I never know when you are serious or sarcastic. If you are serious, it seems like a huge waste of money. Why pay for two CPs? (One CP and one VDS actually). Also, with the new release of SX and WP, seems like you gain no real advantage other then cheaper reseller plans.

I was serious about this post and actually its pretty cost efective to do plesk and ensim together

I have seen solid private servers for about 90$ and with plesk which adds reseller ability its a cheap solution before going on a full maching

Plensim is a idea

I would vote for Ensim..

Don't know about this plensim thing.. Ensim does everything you need.. why would you add Plesk to it? Just more hassles.. :crap:

Just wait and see.

I can only tell you that it works very well together
