Right now I'm waiting for the final phase of my DSL installation...

I'm having a hard time with Excite's FreeLane free internet service... every once in awhile I have to click on the darn banner or they will disconnect me.

Anyone have any solutions?

I actually have to click on the banner or their menu (banner) :)

Heh, yeah the free stuff is a bit more difficult to use for people like us. Much better for the casual user, than the person who spends 8-14 hours a day on-line. :)

Netzero has an ad bar, but I don't believe it will disconnect you? Been a bit since I used them, so I honestly can't remember.

Netzero does not support my area :-(

AOL isn't that bad, at least as a temp service. I actually pay $10 a month just so I can sign onto using the bring your own access plan (chatroom game addictions cost $$$). I need to wait about a month before dsl is available here. GTE or Verizon(whatever the heck they are) takes forever! Yahoo has free internet now don't they? I got a couple free internet cds from Sams Club and Costco that had some yahoo stuff stamped on them.
