Hi everyone,

Quick question please. I've registered two .org domains earlier on and they went into "locked/transfer prohibited" status and still remain so. I have checked a few other active .org's at freewhoo and all the .org's I came accross seem to be in that same status, regardless of how long ago they were registered and how far their expiry is. Furthermore, this seems to be happening to .org domains only.

Can someone please fill me in as to why.

Lock status does not exist per se for the .ORG domains but there is an EPP key, which essentially locks the domain, requiring it upon transfer. Also, all names have a 60 day registrar lock-in upon registration.
