I have come across this forum through google and am hurt by the comments of Nish. I am Vishwas Patel, CEO of Avenues.

this is amit uniyal this side webmaster of devshoppe.com,i m using transactindia payment gateway from last 8 months(curruntly using it too)....and i will never recommend any1 to try them unless u want to loose some customers in the end.here r my experiences with transactindia:-
(1)Payment delays:- well,will any1 believe that after 8 months of sales,i m yet to recieve my payments cheque.they find excuses to hold ur payments.earlier they had problem with my partner's id proof...look what i have already deposited:- passport copy,license copy,ration card copy,verification letter on counsellor's letter head,bank a/c details,vat no,pan no details,insurance policy details....but yet to recieve my cheque.i m planning to lodge an official complaint in consumer court.
(2) Payment gateway down from time to time:- in these eight months ,i have faced this problem 2 times.first time for whole 30-40 days & secondly for 30+ (& still going)..the simple reason they give u is"" Dear Mr.Amit Uniyal,

As we are facing some disputes with ICICI we have decided to keep all the
accounts with merchants like you in pending. So we request you to hold this
issue for few days. We will intimate you once we set things right.

and will u people believe during these 30 days i have lost orders worth rs 40000/-(INR) and more than it many customers(who wont come back now)

so,the moral of the message is that dont fell in the trap of cheap payment gateways ...in the long run u will be on loss using these.As far my knowledge says ccavenue is most reliable and trustworthy.The decision to use transactindia was one of my worst business decision.

Since Transactindia is sucks, but why you are still using their service? I visited your site, and I noticed you are still using Transactindia? And how do you know ccavenue is reliable? I know they lie sometimes, like Ccavenue web site was down for the past 2 days, but they denied the fact that their site was down! I do not think ccavenue is being honest at this point.

I see. I was almost going to use Transactindia's service last time, becuase Transactindia only can send Indian Rupees, so I did not use their service.

I feel sorry about your dilemma with Tansactindia.

i went through abcpayments website & they seem to be good too...they also have backup of very big group like indiamart...
they even have netbanking facility....atleast i expect that i wont have to run behind them for my money...

sometime back i checked my compititors sites...one is using transecute and other is offering ikobo...that means there was some serious problems with them too..
so, my advice to everyone who wants to save initial money is that dont worry about one time payments and dont fell in trap of such cheap gateways ...these will prove more costly in long run...look i have lost the sale of rs 79000 in one month...

Yes, transacindia's overall fees are cheaper than ccavenue. :)

I heard rumor transactindia is using other payment gateways to process their credit card payment orders, and there is a lot of chagback dispute issues from transactindia. :confused:

But transecute's fees are very high; whereas ikobo is not longer
in processing credit card payments service for business transactions, but only person to person money transfer service at this time.

But I know sometimes ccavenue lies to their customers in order to cover their problems, I do not mind if they have some minor problems, but I hope they can be honest in the first place in running their business.

Come on! If they are not being honest, how do they expect us to put our money with them?

We dont have left with much options...transact i wont take it for free,transecute is too expensive,abc seems to be from reliable group but i havent find it on many websites,nor heard abt these much...paypal is good option but payments take too long to reach india....finally,i m going to choose ccavenues..bulk of websites r using it...i hope it will suit me too

I have been going through the Forums from quite a long time now.. and i am really sad for what you faced with TransactIndia. However you will never face this type of problems with CCAvenue.

Also.. Cavalry... You should really sign up for CCAvenue's Services. They also have a USD Gateway so you dont have to worry about getting payments to you in any part of world.
And believe me they are rock solid on Payments. :)

I'll second what Amit has to say ... been great to work with CCAvenue ... no problems - fast payments - good service.

Oh well like to know what you sell or your business model as I just got declined by them without much of a real explanation :) Just a "your too risky" reply basically. Doesnt really help me much as if I knew why I was too risky it would help me in finding a processor who would accept me and not just applying and crossing fingers.

Console/gaming accessories and parts. I do realize there are some processors who dont permit some of the products I sell, but I did and I always do read before applying for accounts to see if I am allowed to use their service or not. Anyway just be nice if I got more than an automated/general your too risky and not exactly why, if its my product or whatever, just be nice :) Because CCave did really look nice :D

I have been using CCavenue for the past 2 years now. The quality of service is very good.

Their cheques were prompt and I had no complaint on the downtim issue, though sometimes my clients could not complete an order due to error 'Bank Declined Transaction'. CCAvenue says it's not their fault.

Nowadays they deposit the amount straight to my bank account and it's on time everytime.

I really love CCAvenue.com and would heartily recommend this service to anybody.

there sign up process is very different, first they charge then they tell you whether you are accepted or rejected.

The Sign up process does ask for payments , But its not mandatory to pay if you want to get approved.

You will definately get approved if the CCAvenue Risk Management team scrutinizes your application and does not find any risk in your business.

You will be sent with an approval mail which will have an link for you to pay online... then you can pay!!!

I have been using ccavenue for the last 1 -1/2 years and each time I face some problem or the other..

Cutsomer service is not responsive and I have e-mailed Vishwas Patel (their so called CEO) several times and there is just no reply...

This is what happens when Garment Traders get into the tech business..

Their customer support is World Class. When i say world class means that you send an email and they get back to you on it swiftly.. Lemme know your queries or the EXACT PROBLEM you faced with them may be i can help you out with it.. I'll be awaiting for your post..

transactindia.com site is not any more.This site accepted payment gateway for indian merchants.

I recently chkd transactindia.com and its no more operative....probably they will come again with any new name to kill their merchants.A site like transactindia deserved a :bkick: on their butt....Well, the worst mistake of my business is over nw and once again i would like to tell others that if u want an reliable payment gateway for ur website blindly go for ccavenue.......transecute and abcpayments may be good...but boss is boss......u will get unlimited options to collect payments and this is my personal experience that u wont regret for once.

I made a purchase from one of your web merchants (Entheos) who use the services of ccavenue. I made my payment quite easily. All was fine until I saw my american express statement - cc avenue charged me twice for one purchase. I immediately emailed entheos who confirmed the one purchase. Entheos in turn contacted ccavenue (Rohit Doke) who said we were not charged twice. I sent both Entheos and Rohit Doke (ccavenue) a copy of my credit card statement. It has been weeks now and the duplicate payment has not been reversed. Can you help? As it is, I am not very happy with ccavenue.

Does ccavenue accept other then Indian merchants/companies?

Do they accept adult/high risk businesses?

From your query , What i understand is that you made payment with CCAvenue's Merchant i.e http://www.entheosweb.com and may be you were charged twice. But to actually getting in touch with them i'd need the order number for which you transacted.

May be thats the only way i can try to find out the charges. I would await for the details.

I have had a ccavenue account for sometime and it has been pretty good so far.

Now, I want to change my shopping cart to Zencart which I understand supports ccavenue but a module is required.

I have been trying to find this module but just cant get it anywhere! Even the zencart download area doesn't seem to ever work. And the guys in ccavenue support have no idea about any of this - they told me to copy some code somewhere.

Can someone help me how I can install ccavenue with zencart. I cant find the module even on the zencart website.

Well Rohit , You can join the Zencart Forum here http://www.zen-cart.com/modules/mydownloads/ and ask them , May be there are lots of websites which are configured with CCAvenue Gateway.

Also , CCAvenue tech support would definately help you if you tell them the error while integrating their gateway. Its pretty obvious if you ask something which is not known to those guys at CCAvenue how are they gonna help you until you say something related to the integration part of their website.

I had bought your account 6 months back or a year... , Downtimes were accepted as they were very rare, but amazing statement which can never be proven but only can impress someone. perhaps biggest problems was lack of professionalism, non-understandable reports.

No one in world wants to have 24 hr watch on order and then capture etc system, we lost $600 because majority of orders were fullfilled and not captured, and capture is only after 24 hrs, it means you leave your all businesses behind and put someone to watch 24 hrs and .. god knows what you are upto.

You may have legal implications because you have no right to reserve minimum balance kind of bank rules, no payment gateway forces this over a yearly charge over a software upgradation costs... too much of hidden costs...

To find a sale or invoice or to get total of sales, if you can get any report in 2-3 steps, you will be lucky. I wonder how come your team cant display simple table with orders given between two dates, display some useful calender kind of interface to see the dates.

Recurring billing is not available. Sales executives always promise that the feature will be available in one month !! After I opened my account, there has been many months.

Unfortunately the indian banks are not offering merchant services like ones in other countries, since there is no one to compete, your services are run depending on your mood.

24x7, I always had to wait for next day if I even call at 6.

All these complaints are coming only because forget about setup cost and other hidden charges, we even lost our $600.

But it is not entirely your fault, basically indian market is very new for IT and usual attitude of using pirated softwares and free stuff, we tend to spend very very less amount on IT, leaving no scope for professionalism.
