Rhiannon 05-01-2004, 08:28 AM That's the ICANN webpage, where it tells you all the requirements you need, as well as how much you have to pay. I hope you have a lot of money to shell out for this. Besides the fees you have to pay ICANN, you also need nameservers, insurance of at least $500k (doesnt come very cheap for businesses) and look at all that paperwork! I'm not trying to bust your bubble here, but an ICANN registrar is not small potatoes. That's why there are so few ;) gate2vn 05-01-2004, 10:09 AM Actually, it's not an ICANN registrar. It's something like this Registration Service Provided By: your company name here It's the name of reseller, not registrar. I know some ICANN registrar provide this service like DirectI, eNom.... Bashar 05-01-2004, 02:23 PM search the forum its almost monthly question :) requires lots of money to start off. doesn't really worth it even big resellers are staying as resellers :) HiVelocity 05-01-2004, 02:29 PM you should contact http://www.logicboxes.com they can help you every step of the way, from helping you apply to ICANN to become accredited to providing the automation software to automate your entire registrar business. HiVelocity 05-01-2004, 02:31 PM the cost to become a registrar is about $6500 + $500 per tld you want to sell. Plus you need working capital of $70k or credit in at least that amount. USA-hosting 05-02-2004, 11:34 PM Great, Thanks. Glanhosts 05-04-2004, 02:50 PM I did some research on it and here is a link that talks about the certification process to be an icann registerar..... http://www.icann.org/registrars/accreditation.htm Hope that helps.... I am just adding to the very valid information given by Hivelocity... Hope that helps Good Luck :wavey: |
