Does anyone know of a cgi script that will search for the availabilty of .biz and .info domains?
We have been using the script from http://www.cgi.tj/scripts/aliendomain.html for years now and it has worked great! However, we can't seem to get it to work with .biz nor .info domains...
Thanks for any help!

just replace whois.nic.com or whatever you use for .com domains with whois.nic.info or whois.nic.biz, that should work

Thanks DeLaNo, we had already tried those plus a few more with no luck. I'm guessing it's something to do with the Nic's return, don't know...

Yea thats right, stupid me, whois.nic.info has another whois version then whois.nic.com,
you should check how the script filters out that a .com domainname is registered or not, probably it looks for the "NO MATCH" words that returns when a domainname is not registered. What you now shoud do is look for the "NOT FOUND" (probably case sensitive so use caps)

DeLaNo, I owe you one!
Using whois.neuLevel.biz and whois.afilias.info searching for the string "not found" did it!
Thanks again...
