I am considering vhosting.com because the rates are pretty good, decent amount of space/transfer amounts and linux/mysql/php4/XML. They are on Globix.

However, I vhosting.com is not listed on hostinvestigator and there are no messages concerning vhosting.
They are apparently associated with/owned by Point of Presence Inc.

Does anyone have some feedback regarding this company and their services?
Thanks

Have you looked at Tera-byte their plan 4 offers a lot more for $9.25 month $99.00 yr.

Lots of satisfied users on this site.

Tera-byte has PHP4, but not with XML capabilities (per an email to their sales).
Although I'm looking for information about vhosting.com, I am interested in other hosts with Linux/Apache/Perl5/PHP4/XML/MySQL.
Appreciate any feedback.

so, no one has heard of or experience with vhosting.com?

btw, this will be my last attempt to get some info, just kind of hesitant to sign up with a host with no feedback from others.

Thanks

Please correct me anyone about location. I like tera-byte's pricing but they're located in Canada, is that mean it will slow my server (even just a little) compare to the U.S hosting companies? I know Canada is even much closer than NY based on where I live, for instance. But you know what my meant. Also, their site has too little details about plan's features and too simple (lack of FAQs, AUP etc.), I know I'm being judge the book's cover here, but I still don't wanna try.

Another problem, I see a Vietnamese website that hosted by tera-byte: http://www.coithienthai.com, sosososos SLOW but he uses the shtml, is that the reason causes his site running slow?

We have a site hosted on tera-byte, which uses PHP, MySql and templates, and it runs pretty fast: http://www.verbamanent.org

But we've had some problems recently. Once in a while we got forbidden or not found messages where our pages should have been, and yesterday the database was not working for something like 10 hours.

Good luck.

I tried both of the abovenoted sites and they loaded very quickly, in fact instantly.

I actually love the opening of the http://www.coithienthai.com/ site

Its worth a click.

ok, I guess the tera-byte responses are nice, but I'm not interested in tera-byte. I only want to hear about vhosting.com. Thanks.

Quam (being new to our tangents), doesn't quite get the system yet. If you want to read comments on vhosting, just look for a thread about tera-byte :)

Just kidding, heh, I've really never heard of them, and maybe no one else has here either. If this is the case, the thread usually tangents a bit (is 'tangents' a verb?).

Will do some checking later and see what I can dig up.
