Hello,

My name is Vincent Paglione. I am starting a company called WebHostTools. We are creating several programs for use on Cobalt RaQ 3s and RaQ 4s. The products are designed to make an administrator's life easier, and to give more power to web hosts.

I am currently looking for some RaQs to test the programs on. All models of the RaQ 3 and RaQ 4 are welcome (3000R, 3001R, 3100R).

The testing would include us installing some packages on your server and then testing them with made-up accounts. It would be ideal if the servers weren't being used to host clients, but we can work on a server that does house clients without messing with the clients.

Any host who offers us some help will be given their choice of one of our programs for free. A brief overview of our programs are:

- vBash
This program restricts customers into their home directory and allows the administrator to choose which customers can execute which commands on the server.

- Transfer Tracker
This program tallies up the total amount of transfer for each domain name and puts it in an easy to read chart, which can be optionally e-mailed to administrators. It also warns admins when a user is nearing their transfer limit (if there is one), and it can be setup to automatically e-mail a customer if they are nearing their limit. It can also be setup to automatically suspend an account when it reaches its transfer limit, while also e-mailing the customer informing them.

- Account AutoGen
This program helps you setup an order form on your web site which will automatically setup accounts on your system. The program runs several rigorous tests to double and triple check that the account will be setup properly, and that the account looks as legit as possible. Several other features are included which ties it into the Cobalt GUI.

We will also be releasing several free programs for the community of RaQ hosts.

As I said, anyone who offers a server to help with the testing will receive one free copy of any of our programs when it is released.

If you are interested, please e-mail me at vince@jtan.com. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

BTW: Our web site will be located at http://www.webhosttools.com.

Thank you for your time. :)

The reason is that we will be performing several installations and they won't be in package format until the final release. It would make the whole testing process much more easier and efficient if we were both performing the tests and programming the fixes.

But once each program is in package format and ready to be released, we will be offering discounts to those who will help us by installing the package on their system to test, without our intervention. You could sign up for that.

Vince, we have several RaQ4's running and don't have anything better to do with them, we are considering doing some free hosting w/ these Cobalt soon, the machines were initially our backup dns and email but we decided to use regular P3 machines instead 4 RaQ4's were left behind :D

Anywho, not to bored you with all the details . . .
we can give you full and Unlimited root access to one of these development RaQ4' s and in return we want complimentary(free) copies of all software/s present and future products/releases, etc..

Im mr unlimband basically, we have been having alot of discussion on the word UNLIMITED used to discribe services and bandwidth transfer. UNLIMITED Bandwidth/Transfer/Hits and the new one, UNRESTRICTED. We find that both words are basically something that should be looked down upon in the industry. The site unlimband basically educates customers about unlimited bandwidth and unrestricted bandwidth scams.

I would like to reopen this request. We did receive several offers, and I would like to thank everyone who made an offer. But some people got the wrong impression for what we needed ... I did not say it clear enough.

We need a dedicated RaQ 4 server, with us as the only occupant. The server can be any kind of Cobalt RaQ 4 system, even an old one with low specs, little RAM, and a small hardrive.

Within the next few weeks, we will be releasing several free programs to enhance the menus of the Cobalt RaQs. We will be giving these programs away for free to show our commitment to helping hosts.

After that, we will begin to release low priced tools (like I stated above) which will help hosts run hosting companies much easier. A few of our programs that will be released are listed above in this thread.

We are asking for that dedicated RaQ 4 system so that we can fully test these programs, on an environment which does not house customers. We will use very little transfer, just enough to scp the sources back and forth from our local machines to the test server.

We are prepared to give any host who will help us a few free licenses for all of our programs. The host would have the right to end the deal at anytime, and keep all of the current licenses.

Please e-mail me at vince@jtan.com. We can discuss different options and hopefully we can come to a deal. If you e-mailed me with an offer before, please feel free to e-mail me again with an offer which includes what we now need. Thanks! :)

Well, we would have to pay a host for a dedicated server, and a host would have to pay us for our programs. Since we both offer services which we both need, I thought that there is probably a host somewhere who would want to exchange for free.
