Hi,
I have a website. I am wondering is it possible to ad my website in yahoo, google, msn search engine database for free? So that if someone does a search on key words my website also comes in the search results. I already have meta tags on my webpages.

Thanks

Visit http://www.dmoz.org/ and find the correct category for your site there. Then at the bottom of the page you will see a link that says "suggest a site". Simply enter your site URL and info (if required) and submit it.

Many of the top search engines use the dmoz data as the starting point of their indexing which is why you want to begin there. Once in Dmoz you will find yourself in the other search engines soon enough.

You can also visit http://www.google.com/addurl.html and add your URL to their DB to be added yourself.

As a side note - most major search engines do not index pages based on meta tags any more. They index them based on relavent text as well as how many sites link to yours.

Good luck.

If your site is good, spiders add your site to the engines themselves.

I din ever submit my site, but its listed on top.
