My story is a upsetting one.. so beware. :)

It all started when I read a post at WebHostingTalk by:

This guy has the gull to call himself professional!

Well I ICQ him about this post.. Here is how it starts:

Well he never replied to me at all after this.....
So finally at around 10:30 PM I sent him a PM at WebHostingTalk on this subject..
He never replied to this PM...
Finally the next day I ICQ him again just to ask him to go read him PM at WebHostingTalk..

Well I woke up that day.. planning for it to be a good one....
But O NO... It was a very bad one..

I find Tuvok's actions were not very nice at all, let alone VERY unprofessional.

I went to WebHostingTalk and read Tuvok's post
(saying to myself, man these guys need some help ASAP).
So I contact them via ICQ.. They have me download a program..
Then tell me at about 11:00am EST that someone else has started theirs and they will need me in 3 hours.
Well around 2:30pm EST I contacted them again to check on the status of the situation.
Their reply was "I have set aside 600 for you, they are not done yet)..
(*I Think* not really the answer I need, but ok.. I will wait some more..)..
Finally at about 8:00pm EST.. I try to contact them again.. and get no response..
(never got a reply from them again) .. They just signed off ICQ.

Hummm...

Well Now this leads me to believe that I just wasted a day of my life for nothing but to get scammed
(what would you think?)...
I personally had plans for that day, yet I cancelled them because Tuvok made it sound as if they
really needed help (ASAP).. So in a effort to help Tuvok out.. I stay at home and cancel all of
my plans for the day.
I am not very happy at all about this.. as I was home all day for nothing..
I wanted to take my kid out and visit family.. but no.. I stay home to help Tuvok out.

I wasted a day of my life to help Tuvok.. and for what.. *nothing*

I warn you... Beware of Tuvok, I do not get how they can call themselves "Professional"...

I contacted them and once i knew it required installing a client on your computer i got very wary..... I would check your system for backdoors now galore :)

Any real company or whatnot could have the task done with a script in 10 minutes.

Hummm... I am sure it was virus free.. as I have a couple virus scanners..

But I did start getting a weird attack after I installed this program.
(I am sure its just some weird coincidence)

Thanks someone finally told me what it was :)...
I had uninstalled the program he had me download.. and it has not happen again.
I am not saying what he sent was a virus at all.. :), It was just
very weird that I have never gotten that attack before.. until after I installed what he
sent.... *shrug*

Coming EVEN from my point of you...

You did hire YourHostSuck for a job he was supposed to do. He was sitting there all day waiting for you to contact him and you never did. When you did, you lied to him by telling him that you "reserved" 600 domains for him to process.

So basically whether or not he did do any work for you, you screwed him. He was supposed to do a job to help you out and instead of actually giving him the work, you made him waste his entire day for nothing.

Now to you that may not seem like a big deal (especially if you have no life). But some people have lives and responsibilities to maintain. The least you could have done (and I do mean the least) was to tell YourHostSuck that you truly didn't have the domain names for him anymore and that the job was taken by someone else. And that would have been it! He would have just moved on and had the rest of his day to do more important things than to just wait for a job that never came.

I also had a rep from my company contact you regarding the job you posted. He never did receive a reply from you but that's another story.

BOTTOM LINE: Bite your lip and focus more on treating people with respect rather than trying to get the last word. Cause as far as I'm concerned, your the one being silly about this.

I've made a small change to this thread, shifting the warning more to the person (Tuvok) than the company. I'm not entirely convinced the entire company is to blame and deserves the warning, though if I get other info to the contrary, I'll update once again.

Tuvok, a professionally sounding apology may have been more appropriate.

After reading your posts I strongly felt the urge to cancel my account with you. Thank god I don't have an account with you, but the feeling that I really REALLY wanted to cancel a account with you, ANY account with you almost made me sign up for hosting with you so I had something to cancel and make me feel better.

Unfortunatly I couldn't do that since you ask for a one year payment in advance. Kinda harsh, seeing how you only registered your domainname in august.

Pilgrim, you cant judge my services since you havnt used them ;) I have been in the hosting business for 4 years... however i started out in a partnership company (which i am still in)... but decided to start my own company as well since i want more than just a small share of the profit.

I operate with all my customers on a personal level. I dont relly on WHT to provide me with customers. I have customers in many countries all of which are very satisfied :) weather you think my services are good or not simply by reading one thread really doesnt concern me.
