authorizenet.com is only a gateway - nothing else. If there is a reseller that processes credit cards that uses authorizenet.com as their gateway - then yes, you can.

One of the best providers in Canada is PSIgate.

They have their own gateway - Weve been using it for quite some time now and are quite pleased with the results.

I have done a lot of research on this, and as far as I've found...NO. I've yet to find an Authorize.net reseller that supports CDN businesses.

I don't believe that there is any Canadian support with Authorize.Net. The only exception being if you have a merchant account setup with AuthNet from some provider and you are processing in USD, but that would really be a USD-based solution anyways.

BTW, can I ask why you need the Authorize.net gateway? Are you integrating with software that supports it?

VanHost brings up a good point. Authorize.Net is just one gateway - there are many other good ones as well and since you are Canadian, PSIGate has their own API as well and is compatible with a lot of 3rd party apps.

I also live in Canada and I'm looking for a merchant account that lets me accept in USD and works with Modernbill. Any suggestions?

Hi VanHost, I'm just about to go to Royal Bank and move my business account to that Bank instead. I'm hoping the same technique for the paypal withdrawls works with the business US accounts as well.

I've been looking around for a merchant account to accept US dollars and compatable with Modernbill. I just got a response from PSIgate but they want $200 + $45/mo + 3.5% + .45/transaction PLUS $25US minimum fees + wire fees. Way too much for my transactions...plus I wasn't impressed that I had to dig and dig for each fee...I see how they make their money.

WorldPay wants $500 + $20US/mo + $16US per withdrawl! The $500 up front would be worth it if it wasn't for the $16US per withdrawl. 4 withdrawls a month and that's $64US JUST to move the money.

So far it looks like http://www.merchantaccounts.ca has the best deal at $369CND setup + $39/mo + 3.95% + ONLY .15CND per transaction. This is the best setup so far. AND ONLY $6cnd to withdrawl. However I haven't heard anything about them or if they're compatable with modernbill, etc. This is the best price so far....anyone use them before?
