![]() | View Full Version : 3 Servers Available Now, NO Setup Fees qps 11-18-2001, 10:28 PM offer ended JBIZ718 11-18-2001, 10:46 PM Do you think it would be wise to mention that this is cogent bandwidth???? Joe qps 11-18-2001, 11:09 PM Originally posted by JBIZ718 Do you think it would be wise to mention that this is cogent bandwidth???? I'd like to just clarify -- these servers will not use Cogent Communications for primary bandwidth unless you would like them to, contrary to what Joe said above. Regards, jayglate 11-18-2001, 11:19 PM Joe always likes to cause problems. JBIZ718 11-18-2001, 11:40 PM Its not a question of problems its based on facts: The IP that was given has cogent all over it... I think Jay you cause more problems, Im sorry I actually look out for the customer and tell them all the facts, its usually a respectable idea... The Atlanta location has BGP-4 routed bandwidth. At this time we are in discussions with several providers for additional bandwidth and redundancy. 209.51.154.2 is an IP address you can traceroute to inside of the Atlanta location. At this time traceroutes may show Cogent Communications as a provider. We have connectivity available from UUnet and Level3, and plan on turning Cogent off after we get some additional bandwidth installed and online. Right now, we're waiting on some things to fall into place before we move all of our Cogent bandwidth to a separate network with separate IP addresses. It shouldn't be more than a few hours/days before this is resolved. JBIZ718 11-18-2001, 11:48 PM Your original post has been edited, it did not origianlly say that Im glad you at least changed it Joe SoftWareRevue 11-19-2001, 01:05 AM This was added after the original post At this time traceroutes may show Cogent Communications as a provider. We have connectivity available from UUnet and Level3, and plan on turning Cogent off after we get some additional bandwidth installed and online. It's still a good deal. And I'm surprised they aren't gone already. But, Joe was just asking for clarity. Now that has been done. Again . . . . Good deal. Urm - does that mean that when u do that, the server I have with you will also lose it's cogent BW and the cost per GB will go up to $3 too? --James qps 11-19-2001, 08:29 AM Originally posted by WildWayz Urm - does that mean that when u do that, the server I have with you will also lose it's cogent BW and the cost per GB will go up to $3 too?
