Does anyone know how to unlock an AIM password if it looks like this?

This is an automatically-generated response from the AOL Instant Messenger(SM)
service. The information you requested is "pIn

O".

I guess there are "vb chars" in it which makes it hidden when you request the email. I guess would it be possible to somehow reverse it? Let me know. Thanks.

huh? Are you trying to hack someones AOL account?
If so, this is not the place for it!

No.. I know the owner of it and he said if I can unlock it he'll pay me 5 bucks. I'm trying to make some money now. It was originally stolen from him so they locked it but it's on his email.

You should email aol support.
The person got hacked.. and it will probably happen again...

If you got the email.. shouldnt the password be in plain text??

It is in plain text however vb chars are like 0d 0a which means line break and they don't show up in a plain text email. It is an aim screen name so AOL won't help.

Anyone good with scripting/coding here? There wss a program that locked passwords if i'm not mistaken?

best bet would be to contact AOL.. no one will help you hack account even if it is your friends account.

Apparently the hidden chars are bytes.. like 0d 0a.. and there is no way to change it since TOC no longer remains. Hmm any smart programmers here?

Support wont do anything for you. AIM does not really have any support. You can make a program in Visual Basic to change your password back. IU may be able to help you. Send an IM over to Hp1. Be sure to tell me who you are because I get alot of unwanted IM's from subprofile users (long story).

Try the TOc link josh gave.
Then change the password there...

You could try using BruteForce. If I forget my passwords sometimes i'll use it to unlock them.

.. Bruteforcing EVERY SINGLE character there is.. And that up there looks like alot of characters.. Porbably take a couple years dont you think.. ?
