I realize not every registrar works the same and some domains can stay "On-Hold" for a VERY long time.

Here is the WHOIS info taken from interNIC:

Registrar: REGISTER.COM, INC.
Whois Server: whois.register.com
Referral URL: http://www.register.com
Name Server: DNS11.REGISTER.COM
Name Server: DNS12.REGISTER.COM
Status: REDEMPTIONPERIOD
Updated Date: 07-apr-2004
Creation Date: 01-mar-2002
Expiration Date: 01-mar-2004

>>> Last update of whois database: Tue, 27 Apr 2004 07:24:55 EDT <<<

What does the "Updated Date: 07-apr-2004" really mean?

Is register.com good about "On-Hold" domain names (releasing them in 30 to 45 days)?

Point is, I really want this domain :)

ps. Currently the domain is not web active and archive.org only has 2 listings back in early 2003...both were re-dirrects to a brinkster.net site.

that domain name will be in the redumption period for 30 days from 07-apr-2004. The owner can renew it during that 30 days period.

it will enter the 6 days pending delete phase after the redumption period. and then it will drop.

When you place a bid for the domain on namewinner.com, once the domain enters the pending delete phase, it tells you what date the domain will actually drop.

I wouldn't waist your money, pool.com is the number one domain catcher and snapnames.com is the second best.. I've caught a sort after domain from pool.com but the auction got abit messy.

Get a back order from just both these and your chances are good enough..
