As per web_one's poll, I am wondering what everyone thought their best day for new orders is.

:crap: The chance of people participating with honest vote on this poll is probably zero. I mean, who can recall normally which day is their best day of their business in web hosting?

If they built the company, they WILL know...

I mean, who can recall normally which day is their best day of their business in web hosting It depends on how they store their data I assume. For us everything is databased and we can search to find not only the busiest 'day' on average but even the busiest 'times' etc...

With the right tools you should be able to understand your company inside and out...

Here you go:

Day of week/ % of total signups / % of signups cancelling / % of total cancellations

Monday 21% 47% 50%
Tuesday 19% 0% 0%
Wednesday 18% 8% 7%
Thursday 19% 15% 14%
Friday 8% 33% 14%
Saturday 7% 20% 7%
Sunday 8% 17% 7%

These numbers cover the last 14 months and of total cancelations, only 3% was due to customer dissatisfaction. The vast majority were recession victims. But as you can see Tuesday signups are good as gold, while Monday and Firday signups...well, you know what they say about cars made on Mondays and Fridays being of poorer quality. Seems to hold true here.
