I have a paying customer who's an extreme newbie. She basically does not know HTML and has no clue how to use FTP. I have pointed out our html and ftp tutorials to her but it seems she doesn't want to waste any time going through it. She was formally with Yahoo and they have their “SiteBuilder” program that she says was easy to use. The only thing I have close to this is our Cpanel File Manager.

Does anyone know of any good “Sitebuilder” software or scripts that could help these newbies publish their web site?

Microft FrontPage is probably one of the favorites for an all-in-one solution like that one you are searching for. You can build all of your pages with FrontPage and even publish your site in just a few steps. It will be very easy for your client to use. There are a few other good titles out there that I'm sure others on the board can suggest to you, but FrontPage is definitely one of the leading programs.

Icestorm,

Take a look at this (http://www.psoft.net/SS/). It's extremely functional, and (maybe) more importantly it's affordable.

This looks very good. I also found http://www.webeditplatinum.com/ but can get very costly. Any other alternatives?

MS FrontPage is great, but I don't want to depend on my customers buying extra software. ;)

Well, if you have a good sized client base (say 2000+ users) than you're looking at a one time cost of $2.65 per customer.

That's not that bad :)
