How do you create custom server images?

I have cinema 4d, is it possible to do it in this?

If someone that can already create them could help me out creating some it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm...
I want to learn how to create them as well. I have 3D Studio Max, I am pretty sure you can create them in cinema 4D as well but I don't know how to do it. You could try finding someone who creates 3d model servers and ask them how they do it but I doubt you could get them to explain it to you in detail, it's always worth a shot though. Good luck! :)

Paying all that money for Cinema 4D I assume another 50$ ona book how to model and use elements wouldn't harm you financially.

Assuming you bought it :)

No. my dads office bought mine so, yes it's legit.

I know i could pay for then but i'd like to learn how to do them so i can have my own, personal, unique servers that i made.

Thanks

If you know how to model just let your imagination do the rest. Or use a reference picture.

A program such as that gets updated frequently and costs a lot. If you're not willing to invest in a book how to model it's going to waste wether it's legit or not.

You can't model if you don't know how, so you're going to have to learn some way or another.

You have to learn the basics first before you start thinking about creating server models. Just get yourself used to the tools and then think about bigger projects. At the moment you are trying to srpint before you walk.

Things like this may take upto 6 months, maybe longer depending on your commitment.

Where do i learn basic moddelling then?

I presume you start of with a 3 Dimensional Sort of Tower Block then move onto lighting effects.

You see things like lcd panels on them, are they all done in 3ds max or photoshop?

Also what's this "Rhino" thing. I saw it in a post selling servers, they came in Rhino format?

Personally I would get used to the tools and just play about with it. I'm in work at the moment but I do have a link in the house to a really usefull tutorial. it has helped me understand the besics of cinema4d.

Drop me an e-mail mike[at]pixate.net] and I will forward on link to you when I get home.

You are jumping into it way to quickly. 3D is hard to get used to (at least I thought so) so get a book that will teach you how to use the tools and how to model correctly. After you learn that, then worry about creating server models.

Yep, some of the coolest things I've made were just from experimenting and playing around. :)

You definitely should get a book, or read some online tutorials to give you a jump start though. Learn the basics first, and then you can start worrying about specific images. Same goes for any design program.

Once you know what the tools do and how to use them, your imagination is the limit.
