Well I've been buying hosting for some time now, and I always wanted to do webhosting for a living or for some extra money while in college, although I can't afford to buy and own the servers I'd like to rent one and host myself and a couple friends to start off with and learn how everything is done then move on from there in a couple years, I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to start, or where to rent a server, or maybe reselling is the way to go?

Also, let me know how you got started.
