Well I haven't seen this in a while so I figure I'll ask it. Who do you guys think does the best filtering for irc? Does anyone know of any ipv6 irc hosts? The companies I know that allow irc are:

www.staminus.net
www.atrivo.com
www.blacklotus.net
www.fdcservers.com
www.server4you.net (don't really like it but tolerate it)

any other company that does that can provide decent filtering?

FDC Servers
and
EV1

My two cents....

Plus, if you go with FDC, they offer unmetered bandwidth - however am not too sure with reliability, and support.

ev1 is very limited and the irc server is not allowed to link to any others.

not positive on interlands stance on it but I know they tolerate it

sagonet allows it
fastcolocation (henet reseller, might have ipv6)

I don't really recommend SAGONet to people who want to run IRC things like eggdrops or servers. They haven't bothered me about anything that I do but a few request I put in for reverse DNS got denied because the host address was considered offensive or promoted illegal activites. They were very professional about the whole deal, I was the one in the wrong as they full stated all this in the terms of the contract.

Mosts "vhosts" of eggdrop shell providers are all about being offensive. SAGONet is great but they are also understandably concerned about their apperance and don't allow some things like I mentioned above.

I would go with either Atrivo or BlackLotus.

I know Emil (Atrivo) is a really great guy, and provides awesome service.

I hear that BlackLotus is a great provider as well.

FDC gets fairly mixed reviews. They seem to be fairly hit-or-miss.

EV1 is a good provider, but their IRC policy is quite strict. If you plan to offer shell accounts for clients to run IRC daemons from, do NOT go with them.
