There are numerous sites out there that offer free or paid submissions to all of the major search engines but are there are companies out there that offer bulk submissions to web hosting directories? I'd pay big bucks for a company or script that is capable of getting my company linked at a few hundred web hosting directories if such a company existed.

No such thing exists.
But I will be offering a solution before year end that will submit listings to about 10-15 hosting directories...this is because all 10-15 use the same database.

Interesting little niche there. Looking forward to seeing that.

Most Search engines frown upon Automatic submissions - I still think the best way is to just do it manually - There is no magic wand to get good results.

I think its more important to make sure your site is optimised for search engines, if its optimised correctly and you can get some links to your site, eventually you should be getting good results.

I am sure it shall be fine for hosting directories but they a different bunch of bananas.

I still don't think they submit to Hosting Directories....I don't see any links or logos to directories.

You can get on about 10 for a small fee

It seems many of the sites listed in hostsubmit's page on http://www.hostsubmit.com/directories.html are old or no longer exist.

I agree. Given the apparent absence of such a firm, it makes me question whether my partners and I are in the wrong industry. I'm pretty sure someone will think of it sooner or later.

Yeah that would be awesome. To like have a submittal service just in your particular industry. There must be 1000s of web host listing sites out there. But how would it work? they would all have to share some kind of data base that they pull the info out from. It would be nice to see this developed in the near future.

You could always buy a bunch of advertising on all the directories. :)

buying advertising on the directorys would be your best bet, i think people tend to see the larger ads on the side or at the top of the page before actually looking at the listings. It will cost more but most likely prove to gain more clients.

Certainly not every hosting directory in existence, but most of the major ones.
