Hi,
I noticed that the retail price of GoDaddy is very low, lower than the wholesale price of most registrars. They also advertising widely and many people know the name.
I am maily reselling eNom domain. How can we compete with GoDaddy? I spent eNom $6,950.00 to get $6.95 Reseller Account. However, the retail price of GoDaddy is only $6.95.
Best regards

Godaddy is a pain. To order a domain you suffer through page after page of advertising and their management system is a pain to work with.

Hi,
so why not try godaddy
1. I had registered some domains from GoDaddy about two years ago. I don't like GoDaddy by that time because they sent registration confirmation and renewal notice to my clients. (because I never use my name as the registrant to register domains for my clients). The situation is still the same now.
2. I already paid eNom.
Best regards

How to compete with GoDaddy?
IMHO
If you know that registrars are paying $6.00 to the registry for .com .net you will reach that
1 Godaddy is droping the price to compete eNom and other registrars
2- Godaddy is trying to be #1 for the 3rd year by having as many domains as they can
3- They are willling to make Good money when the customers renew their domains at a price of 8.95 ( next year )
BTW What's wrong with WHT today ??? or it's just me

That 6.95 is only an April sale, aslo a Loss Leader, also as kohashi
stated, Advertisement on page after page trying to sell you something else, after you sign up you get another Email trying to sell you something else. Just as Ev1 does and every other company out there doing domain names. Gotta make up the money some how.

That's the ticket. Throw 7 grand out the window and switch to a company that IMO doesn't suite my needs. <- after two years with them (and still have domains there) I am qualified to give my opinion.

You can compete. Enom offers an entire package as opposed to GoDaddy and IMO it is easy to see.
Sure GoDaddy might have lower prices but all you have to do is start a registration and you can see they are going to nickle and dime you for lots of things enom provides in the standard cost.

shoot you have to buy in bulk try http://www.nicline.com if your serious about competition you can get as low as $6.39 but figure by the time you add credit card processing back at $6.95 I offer domain names at $8.88 that isnt to get rich but to atleast to match namecheap for people that use my hosting. allows all in one billing and more convenient for them

There are 2 registration options.....
Smart Registration "(recomended)"
and Custom Registration
If you use the custom registration you will see all the advertising before you buy the domain is significantly lower...
Also one of main reasons godaddy.com can afford such low prices is due to the fact that they have many many customers and able to drop the price down..... The adverts before buying are just an extra revenue..

I wish I could show all my domains on one page by default, but other than that I have no complaints. What would you suggest using instead?
