i did do a search, but didn't get much back
i checked hostnexus and although they seem pretty great, i don't think i can afford that price range just yet. im fairly new to reselling and want to keep my expenses low as i learn and stuff.
i was looking at something between $15-20 a month

I think there are quite a few hosts that now offer plesk.
Other than hostnexus, I think aussiehosts.com and crediblehost.com offer it as well.
Im sure there are many others too.

If you want a cheaper option, you can't go wrong with www.plesk7resellers.com (same as AussieHosts).

well i already have an account with credible account with cpanel and they DO offer plesk, but its not 7 and it doesnt seem like they'r plannin on upgradin soon either.

i've yet to do a search on google for plesk7 resellers but i was hoping i could find some reputable ones here with reviews and stuff.. but i never knew plesk isn't all that common..just yet :D

also, i think aussiehosts plan will suit me well until i can get more experienced in reseller hosting esp with plesk before moving to something like hostnexus reseller. but, are there people currently using aussiehosts right now, and what's the common image of them here?

thanks a lot for your opinions

Plesk 7 obliterates previous versions.

I think v7 finally brought them into the limelight a lot more. It's stable, user-friendly, and option-laden.

The backup utility is a great feature, as is such options as the app. vault and possibility of CF MX, tomcat, and a shed-load more.

Great CP.

As for aussiresellers.com (plesh7host.com), they don't offer SMTP at the moment and they have an incoming e-mail message size limit of 5 Mb (!). :(

I think what he is saying is that the host company "aussieresellers" does not allow smtp use, and also limits the size of mailboxes to only 5MB.

I doubt this to be true. Don't see how they could compete with that. Not around here anyway.

I dont see the problem with incoming mail sizes of 5 mbs. Most limit it to 1.5 to 2mbs. and uh.....no stmp....I kinda doubt that. ;)

Btw, does plesk7 have a demo on their site? (or does anyone else have a demo I can check out) I didnt really like plesk before because I could never understand it, but if you say it's better now, I'd like to check it out. :D

Which part of the sentence you guys didn't understand? They DO offer Plesk 7 plans, Plesk 7 DOES have SMTP support, but I didn't said anything for these obvious matters.:o

I said that they (aussieresellers.com) DON'T allow SMTP with their Plesk 7 plans and that they DO have SIZE LIMIT for incoming e-mail messages (5 Mb). They are VERY nice guys, with excellent speedy support, but they DO have to reconsider these limitations (I understand their reasons for doing this, but I don't agree, let's shut down the whole internet to be more secure ;)).

The only negative is that they don't actually advertise that their Plesk 7 plans have these limitations (but I'm sure that someone from the company will step up very soon).

That's their business, what they do and don't provide. Each supplier supplies what they're comfortable with, and that's that. if they can get away with no allowing outgoing email from their servers, half their luck! :D

We have never provided SMTP services on shared hosting boxes. We've probably lost 5 clients in as many years for not doing so. We did provide a dedicated SMTP server for a while, and only a dozen or so used it regularly, and I recall 1 or 2 being a little concerned when we took it down. We plan to put one back up again, but it's not a priority.

Just goes to show you you don' t need to be like the rest. Please excuse my assumption.
