crspyjohn 04-20-2004, 09:59 PM Is your management fully managed?
tmservers 04-20-2004, 10:14 PM you mean are our servers managed?
crspyjohn 04-20-2004, 10:16 PM Yes sorry thats what i meant. Was going to edit my post but 15 mins pasted.
tmservers 04-20-2004, 10:18 PM yes we are working on getting more tech's so we can offer a greater amount of support rather then relying on managed.com so much.
bacanak 04-20-2004, 11:43 PM managed.com's great servers ???:)) I heard they are really great with their uptime and support.
Read a lot under the dedicated server Topic right here at wht:)
illogix 04-20-2004, 11:47 PM I really doubt Managed.com is running off a single DS3 (45 Mbps).
tmservers 04-20-2004, 11:56 PM Actually yes they are thats what i was told by them anyways, although they have been sending us memos on upgrading it so you might be right.
localminds 04-21-2004, 12:44 AM HAHA! Ok, let me get this straight...How can you provide 100mbit connection:
* Connectivity: 100Mbps (AboveNet/XO)
and be running off a single DS3???
tmservers 04-21-2004, 12:59 AM ask managed.com thats what i was told that its a 100mbps connection , i havent really asked them alot about what type of connection they now have since weve been with them for a few years now.
Tracert 04-21-2004, 01:04 AM they have gige maybe more

Same questions how is that possible? Managed has been open what 4-6 months?
Also to clear things up: Managed is on 1 or 2 100mbps lines - abovenet BW. They have 1 or 2 lines of XO bandwidth. I think they are 45mbps lines. Its been awhile since i dealed with managed. com.
*Not sure but the connection is something like that :-)
QUESTIONS:
Did you just start reselling for managed?
Are you a offical reseller?
Are your servers fully managed? Or what do you manage?
Note: Just asking questions :-) Not trying to flame or anything just helping
mainarea 04-21-2004, 04:27 PM They have gig-e connections, nothing less than that. Definitly not a DS3.
tmservers 04-21-2004, 06:51 PM about me being with them for awhile, i thought they have been in business since 2000 im sure thats how long  and we are going to start to fullly manage the server our selves but right now they are not 24/7 managed by us but you might have noticed posts from us about hiring techs and so on so we can start fully managing the servers.
crspyjohn 04-21-2004, 06:56 PM Can you tell me what you cover in your management?
Also note: How long have YOU been with them? I was here when managed opened and i am sure it hasn't been 2 years.
PS: Just trying to clear up some questions.
Also i use to work with a managed.com reseller (biggest one) and i am sure managed hasn't been open for 2 years.
tmservers 04-21-2004, 07:11 PM for management we will cover any problem that might occur, if this doesnt answer your question please give examples and i will tell you if it is included in our management. thankyou.
PS: i have no problem with the questions im gald your trying to clear up certian questions.
crspyjohn 04-21-2004, 08:00 PM Can you answer this? This would be my last question :)
How long have YOU been with managed.com? I was here when managed opened and i am sure it hasn't been 2 years.
tmservers 04-21-2004, 08:54 PM a year i believe
crspyjohn 04-21-2004, 09:03 PM Ok, Can you provide me with a ip to ping?
ARe you sure you been a year with them?? I thought they only been open since nov. And before that they never offical launh but from what the managed.com tech said they were open.... Can you clear this for me? Thanks, (wow runon lol)
tmservers 04-21-2004, 09:11 PM I have a IP for our hosting customer not a dedicated server 66.79.173.50
crspyjohn 04-21-2004, 09:14 PM 66.79.173.50 - that ip belongs to tomsyer.net. I use to work for them.... Just trying to ask :)
tmservers 04-21-2004, 09:16 PM ya i got that through them , here's one directly from managed.com
65.75.177.230
tmservers 04-21-2004, 09:22 PM sorry for the misunderstanding but it was a year since ive been using them its been 6 month
crspyjohn 04-21-2004, 09:25 PM Got things cleared up with him :)
