A good friend of mine just went to Iraq not long ago. Right before he left that day he came by to say goodbye. He was pretty nervous because he was stuttering alot.

He was suppose to get married last week, but his Unit was suddenly activated to go to Iraq ASAP. For the last two years he and his fiancee only saw each other around three weeks, she was in Iraq for about a year and just came back about a month ago because of an injury.

I pray he comes back!

Well, I share the prayers with you for him to come back. Another victim of a pointless policy. Sorry for you and him.

My friend went not long ago too, he's in the RAF as an explosive materials driver :(

Hope it all goes well for him. As much as some of us might not agree with this war (and for those that do agree with it) these men and women are risking their lives for us. They are willing to die so we can sit on our butts and talk about policy and because of this I have the highest respect for them.

We all voted in the politicians that make those policies, none of us is blameless.

I hope your friend (and all the other soldiers in Iraq) make it safely home.

I, too, hope that your friend, and everyone else's friends/family to come back safely.

I just wish we in the United States were as intelligent as the Spanish now.

I feel sorry for your friend and I hope he comes back alive. I would rather go to prison than serve in a "war" I don't believe in.

it's very unfortunant that he had to be sent to iraq just before he was supposed to get married. I will also pray that he makes it back home.

I feel your pain man... My best friend is in the Marine Corps and will be shipped to Iraq very shortly. I dont like war anymore than the next guy, but I will support the military until the day I die. :usflag:
