Rewdog 11-14-2001, 09:43 PM Do you work out? How often? Whats your routine?
I run 5 miles everyday and lift weights for an hour and a half everyday. Or at least 6 days out of 7 :)

chuckt101 11-14-2001, 10:06 PM I practice martial arts 3-4 days a week and weightlift/cardio 2 days a week.
cbaker17 11-14-2001, 10:15 PM I wish i had time to excer. but I work about 12-18 hours a day :( and there are no 24/7 gyms in Old wichita, ks but when i go out of town (every week :( I take advantage of the hotel gyms. I def. find i sleep much better after a work out, otherwise i dont sleep at all, perhaps its to many of these energy drinks. On a side note can you believe the prices of these puppy, 1.99 for a tiny tiny can.... jeez oh well they do the trick
The Prohacker 11-14-2001, 10:19 PM Old wichita, ks
I do hear ya, I take advantage of the gym in MSSC near me in southern MO. Other than that, the local gyms suck around here.....
ShellBounder 11-14-2001, 11:44 PM I run track (100m and 200m, especially) and practice Parker Kenpo. I love to bicycle as well, in fact, better than I like to run. But I need a new bike and I just can't run out any buy one right now (spent too much on computer upgrades), so I'll have to wait a while.
pcsteve 11-14-2001, 11:52 PM i run about 1 mile and also go swimming about 2 twice a week.
Plus, if you count the over 100 mouse clicks, 200 letters typed daily. Then heck... i should be a buff stud :D
Chicken 11-15-2001, 12:40 AM Now wait a second, there should be an age exception here. I am Homer Simpson now but when I was a wee lad, I rode across Iowa on a bike (something that is fun, yet extremely painful) and used to do a bit of bike racing. I can't compete with you yougn whipper snappers any more. GET OFF MY LAWN YOUR PUNKS! Sorry... neighbor boy... where's my cane now...

same :)
I also mountain bike and do some alpine skiing.
OK, I walk to and from school. My journey on campus involves several flights of stairs.
And, when the weather is halfway decent, I usually do a 45+ mile bike ride, with hills and such. I'm not biking this time of year, because we're on flood alert, due to the rain. And, I've biked through a flood and it's not fun... I'd rather deal with script kiddies.. :)
akashik 11-15-2001, 01:50 AM does meaning to count?
I'm with the chooken.. I used to do a lot more - weight training, regional rep in football, swimming, and athletics, keen biker... time is a pretty rare commodity now though... have been giving serious thought to a mountain bike lately, and getting out there at dawn each day. Maybe after X-mas
Greg Moore
(SH)Saeed 11-15-2001, 05:25 AM I bought this annual gym card about a month ago.. Every day I say I'm going to start tomorrow, but tomorrow has yet to come :(
JustinK 11-15-2001, 05:37 AM My workout involves daily mass typing sessions, leg stretches, going up and down stairs (food supply runs) and then of course theres... HER. El Diablo Puppy. Need exercise? Get a schipperke puppy.

Mr. Amazon, i've done that too! even thought about just doing some exercise to the television, but the day has never come.. maybe someday
rockergrrl 11-16-2001, 10:08 AM When I was younger (high school age - grad. '98) I played 3 years of varsity sports. And the only reason why I said 3 years, is it wasn't because I wasn't good enough, I killed my knee during basketball camp (tryouts) my freshman year and I couldn't play at all.
I played on the varsity basketball, volleyball and softball teams. I use to run 3 miles/day (even in the cold -- yes I said cold - and I mean cold) and lift weights. In those days, I could bench 210lbs easily (scary, huh) and push 500lbs easily on the rack squat.
Since having my son, I've gone all kapooot as far as exercising goes. And especially when I tore the ligament in my back in March (2001). I can't do much anymore... But my back is getting better (don't have insurance to go see a doctor), and I doing have to pop pills everytime I have to walk somewhere (car doesn't work right now - so we have to walk everywhere just about). When my back gets better a little bit more, then I start excersizing a little more -- when it doesn't kill me as much.

So the exercise schedule while racing and training used to be six or seven days a week; now it's a much more relaxed two or three. And I have a much better social life.

I hear ya, and understand what you mean, I was a big sports nut, and competed in Sailing at world cup level (back in 92) .. then for the past few years became a homer simpson of myself .. but that all had to change, so free time or not, started to make space for 4-5 times a week of weight lifting and cardio (lots of cardio) ... got to do it .. or be dead at 50

JustinK 11-17-2001, 05:54 AM Erg... I can't stand fishing. I caught some Ahi over in Kuai (sp?). I'm too squirmish around blood. My father kept wanting to take a picture. My head: "Ohhh ya... this is fun. I lure some poor fish in with something that isn't even food, pull him out of his home, bash him, then swing him on a string with blood everywhere while smiling." I don't really eat fish either so that alone makes me feel worse.
edude 11-17-2001, 05:57 AM LOL, fishing is a great past time, eating fish is even better :)
Especially on the BBQ or in flour with chips :D
You can relax when fishing :D and you feel you've achieved something when you catch a big fella!

Anna Kusnyet 11-20-2001, 10:09 AM Thank you very much! :wavey:
I used to run, used to swim, used to do exercises...
Everything “used to”…
But you remind me this problem and I hope it’ll help me to start again.
I feel fine and happy when I do it! :)

Jonah 11-20-2001, 02:59 PM Professional soccer player. I stopped two years ago. Decided law school was the right way. A difficult decision, but now Im happy with my decision. I do still miss the adrenalin. Now, I have put on some weight, but still work out in the gym now and then. Nice to have a more healthy relation to work out.
DanielP 11-20-2001, 03:54 PM LoL :-/
Most of you get out more than I do! hehe no fair :(
I just do a small in-house workout every evening assuming there's no disaster (50 crunches, 25 pushups and 25 pullups) , when the weather is nice I'll bike about a 5 mile run each day assuming time allows and I can safley dodge the dingbat drivers we call rednecks down here :)
Jonah 11-20-2001, 08:25 PM By the way, is sex considered exercise?:D  :D
