Does anyone know where I could find a world map displaying the major internet backbones cables, perhapse also a north-america one (or canada for that matter).

I am interested in seeing what company has a cable running by our facilities, and then see how far we can be from the best speed possible, etc.

Thanks!

Yes. On my site I have a page, Internet Issues and FAQ that explains connectivity issues. The purpose is to educate people as to why it may not be the fault of a particular site if they are unable to connect to it. At the bottom of the page is a link to a site that contains much more detailed information. Part of that information shows the backbones. I'd say it looks like spaghetti except that spaghetti is less tangled.

... and no other posts on this request, I felt that this was one rare opportunity you guys gave me to help you out.

So I made sure I came up with reasonably helpful links. Glad to hear that Duster's and my links helped !!!!!!

I really wish I could help you guys out more, but I am not as knowledgeable as you guys are !!!!!! But most of you Gods rarely ask for help... it is you guys who are always helping most of us in turn !!!!!!

And that is really and deeply appreciated, as always !!!!!!
