Hey Guys,

I just like comparing how everyone else is doing this month. My signups are down a little bit, what about everyone else. I like to see if it is just the different avenues of advertising, the market or if I just suck =).

Ours are down a bit, but we haven't been doing extensive advertising this month so its not too surprising :) .

In Sept. signups was down about 30% from normal. Guess everyone had other things on their minds and who wouldn't?

However, business seems to be picking up but keeping steady. Plus, we have not done too much advertising lately.

September was our highest sales month EVER. September 11th saw zero sales - but September 12th brought the most new signups in one day EVER. I can't explain it.

October was still fairly good. This month is pretty much on track with October - so far. Last weekend was pretty bad though - but today has made up for it.

We went down during the end of September, but bounced back during October with higher levels, so in all it as about average...

.. reading the other post here and elsewhere it seems it's a pretty common story for most people.

Supposely we had quite a good amount of sign ups but we had to refuse service because our servers were experiencing a bumpy ride :bawling:

Well... Yes, along with adverts in several other places and careful PR.

Where do you people advertise? I hope it's free.

The only advertising I do is from my clients who W-O-M me.

In the same sense that with most things, you 'pay for what you get', the same rule applies to advertising - so a free advert, on an ad in a banner exchange that you are part of will obviously not do as well as paid ads on high traffic sites.

agreed, but good old word of mouth is a very powerful seller. People trust their friends a lot more than an expensive banner ad. Hoping this doesn't draw flak, but the 'type' of client from WOM does tend to be better. Less fraud, more content...
