View Full Version : No age/income/location restrictions MasterCard.
AnthonyJB10 04-16-2004, 09:43 AM I know there have been posts about this before, and I'm just telling you all now that if you live in the UK or abroad and need a MasterCard to use on the NET only (sorry, yes it IS a "Virtual" MasterCard) then eCash4.net have the answer.
You are given a "physical plastic card", but it can only be used online (I don't know know about over the phone, most likely not). The card can be used by ANYONE (no age restrictions even if you're under 16 *apparently*, don't need a US address, no credit checks needed, no bank account needed).
The card costs $49 and you need a minimum of $20 loaded on, and you can have a maximum of $200 loaded on.
This is the best solution I've been able to find ... the company's website looks very professional, I think it's highly unlikely that it's a scam, but you can take a look for yourselves and decide.
The only bit of identification you need is a copy of your Passport.
Interested in knowing your views on it!
websterworld 04-16-2004, 09:50 AM whats wrong with getting a visa card? oh, right you have to be 16... well is that really a problem for you? nope...
I dont see the point in this however, why not use paypal instead?
AnthonyJB10 04-16-2004, 09:52 AM Not all websites accept PayPal though! Quite often American based websites only accept the basic MasterCard/Visa/Discover cards (Discover isn't even issued in the UK) and this can prove to be a problem.
Why do you immediately assume I'm over 16 anyway? ;)
A. Get a paypal account
B. Meet the following terms and conditions:
· Upgrade to a Premier or Business PayPal Account
· Add a credit card (could be your parents, brothers, friends, cousins neighbors) to your PayPal Account
· Become 'Verified' by completing the Expanded Use Enrollment Process
· Primary credit card address must not be a P.O. Box
· Be an active user of PayPal for over 90 days
C. Click on the "Request Debit Card" link that will appear (if it doesn't, email customer service.
D. You'll get a PayPal Debit Mastercard, which works as a MC, but uses the funds in your PP account to pay for things. Make sure your name is on the PayPal account, because the card will arrive under whoevers name is registered to the account.
Yes, this MC works online... and in actual stores, etc... any place that accepts Mastercard. It also works at ATM machines so you can pull funds out of your paypal account instantly.
This MC does NOT let you overdraw though, so you must have the funds in your PP account to begin with.
- edit -
Just so you know, this card does not cost you money, and if you use a Premier account, you get 1.5% cash back on all purchases.
AnthonyJB10 04-16-2004, 12:17 PM But isn't that US residents only? In the UK you're supposed to be 18 or over to sign up for PayPal.
joshiee 04-16-2004, 12:21 PM Yes, and your name has to be on the credit card you add if you want to get the debit card, so it cant just be anyone's.

Use anywhere online on the Internet or on the phone where MasterCard is accepted
joshiee 04-16-2004, 12:58 PM Ah it wont let me edit so i'll post a new one:
I wanted to ask if anyone currently uses this?
AnthonyJB10 04-16-2004, 01:12 PM I don't, I was just posting about it. It's strange though because when you go to apply for a card and you read the various terms and conditions, under the "Merchant Account" section it says that you need to be over 18 ... yet for the card itself it says "No Age Restrictions" so I'm kind of confused about it now.
joshiee 04-16-2004, 01:14 PM Well I attempted to create an account.. I haven't sent them the copy of passport yet
NE-Andy 04-16-2004, 02:17 PM That paypal card thing is only for US citizens...
Kimmikat 04-16-2004, 02:24 PM That part reminds me of the Visa gift card, where you can put up to a certain amount on it and anyone can use it.

I'm in Canada and I have a PayPal debit card, so they must be available to people other than US residents.
Xshare 04-18-2004, 12:30 PM Paypal also has a virtual card you don't have to sign up for. I've used it before.
UNIXIELHOST 04-19-2004, 05:08 PM The best visa card is with RushCard, free to open up, no charge load fee to add more funds, you only pay when you use it, $1 per transcations, that it!
The best! www.rushcard.com
iTec Hosts 04-19-2004, 08:37 PM I am in Canada and have 2 PayPal debit cards and use them all the time. Should be no problem for those in other countries who have PayPal to get a card as well.
Best thing to do, email or call them and ask if it is available where you are.
johonbravo 04-19-2004, 09:17 PM I thought you had to be 18 to get a VISA....
stripeyteapot 04-19-2004, 09:25 PM it's basically like splash plastic, charge up the card and can spend ...
Sorry if someone else has said this, didn't read the second page :)
AnthonyJB10 05-02-2004, 10:26 AM That "RushCard" is only for residents of the US.
AnthonyJB10 05-02-2004, 10:39 AM Anyone know of a MasterCard/Visa PrePaid card that's available internationally, without having to live in the US or have a US address?
Paypal Mastercard... have that, works well.. haven't had problems with it so far, though I do want a visa as-well.
No places in Canada I know of, I'm thinking of getting a join account in the caymens, I don't have to worry about taxes, and I can let them know to put half my account on credit..they give you a choice of mastercard, visa, amex, etc. Pretty cool too. It costs like $10 a month for a basic caymen's account with that stuff.

yup paypal offers a free virtual mastercard number to use. i use mine all the time.
there are a couple of catches...
1. 150 per day limit
2. no cvs number or whatever that 3 digit number is called!
AnthonyJB10 05-03-2004, 05:59 AM Yes but none of these 'virtual' cards offered by PayPal are available OUTSIDE the US.
I'd be interested in the Cayman Island's banking though, as long as it doesn't require some mass £5000 deposist or anything!
Unless anyone else has more suggestions? Just a recap here as people don't seem to understand what I'm asking for:
Prepaid MasterCard/Visa (NOT Visa Electron or Maestro)
Physical or Virtual Card
Available to ANYONE WORLDWIDE
No age limit (or one with parental signature)
No mass deposit
stephenM 05-03-2004, 06:34 AM eCash4.net doesn't exactly look like a legitimate business, they have Viagra ads plastered down the left hand side of their site
Do you see other credit card providers or banks doing this? No. Definately not!

The best! www.rushcard.com
from rushcard.com
The Rush Visa Card is a prepaid Visa Card issued by Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. and only available to residents of the United States.
Subhadip 05-03-2004, 10:18 AM You can use PayPal outside the US; but you won't get it unless you have a US PayPal account.
AnthonyJB10 05-03-2004, 10:25 AM Well some legitimate companies have them ... and the company is based in Czechoslovakia where the average wage is $100 per month, so they'd probably do anything for money.
They do ask for some kind of ID when you sign up for the card though.
