No wonder we get so many credit card fraud recently, this guy is actually selling CC # on the internet. This is really disturbing, there is obviously no point to post the link here.

How do i protect myself from CC fraud if I use 2checkout ? I recently got charge back passed back to me and it really hurts

secure order form helps minimize the risk or order by phone.

You can also use money order, but it takes longer to finalize the transaction.

Well it isn't that uncommon. AOL (yes, I love bagging on the bastards, they don't listen so they deserve it!) has all the little prog kiddies going around IMing people with fake pages and requests to re-enter their credit card information. Totally bogus, but enough people fall for it. :|

how can anyone fall for that?
like ill aim you and ask you for your cc number and youll fall for it? unlikely. :D

ok. AOL is usually for new people and paid for via Credit Card. You're new to the net and AOL. Someone claiming to be staff IMs you. They claim your information has been lost and to either re-enter it into the "specialized AOL Site" or directly into the IM. Chances are you're going to have a few people that fall for it. And all it takes are a few.

Ah ok :)
Now that makes sense. still i guess aol should put out a warning or something.

Doesn't AOL put some text saying that "We will never ask you for your credit number thru AIM" below every message you send?

MSN's Instant Message has that. :D

Yes they do. "Reminder: AOL will never ask you for your password or billing information." But with a few convincing words they could most likely convince that few people again that they're needing them to re-enter it into the system through the page and not the IM. Heck, I've gotten one before from someone claiming to be the CC company needing me to "authorize" aol's use of credit card by re-entering the information given to aol. Again, these attempts are usually meant for those new the net and unknown to such low acts.

The easiest way (in the UK anyway) to get hold of FULL credit card information (card details, name, address) is to work in a call centre. The biggest offender is *** (Pay-per-view broadcaster). The have instant access to all user details and a lot of their employess are known for using and selling the details. I know of such a person that sells a clients details for £1 (approx $1.4). The biggest use though is not online fraud but for topping up their call credit on their mobile phones.

£1 ?

I would never work so cheap for something that might require a jail sentence!!!

People give up all kinds of info in the real world so why not on the net?

Go to the video store or supermarket and fill out one of their "club" membership applications. They want your full name, DOB, SS#, driver's license #, employer, income range, bank info, etc etc.

What they heck does Block Buster need with all that info in their computer? Want to see ID when I hand over the application, OK. But it ain't going in their computer DB!
