So Basically, 40 Player Server + Access to Dedicated Box for 100 bucks USD.

(Note: If there is ANY lag at all, i will CLOSE MY OWN SERVERS) That is how confident i am.)

The Server will be Located in Florida and has an unmetered 100mbps connection. That is pretty darn fast.

What are the specs of your server?

Well, The Computer itself isn't something to be jumping up and down about, but i can tell you that i've hosted servers totaling up to 80 ppl with this machine (and it was near full) without any lag.

Note: I just did some research and i asked a friend (Works for a server company) and he said the box can support 100 ppl max, but says to stay around 80 to make sure that all the running is good.

If your just lookin for a server that won't lag at all, then this one is right for you. However, if your lookin for one all loaded up with new technology, then it might not be what your lookin for.

Personally i think $100 is a bit too much for the type of server it would be hosted on.

I would be better off putting a game server on my managed.com box that i currently have. Sorry dude just think it's way over priced.

I See what your saying, but i personally also think that the server specs are way overrated. I mean, if this box couldn't host a decent server, i would not sell it. But I mean, for the people out there who just want to be able to create a server that they want to play on or something, i still feel that it is a good deal.

But Hey, you are entitled to your own opinion.

Even though the comp specs aint the best in the world, the servers that it can run are absolutely lag-free.

For most Counter-Strike Companies, a single 20 player server will be 80 bucks. But im offering 40 slots here, a value of 160 dollars, for 100 bucks. Plus you have access to the machine and you restart your server or do anything you want to it anytime.

As i said before, i have been able to host 4 20 player servers on that box with little lag at all. That is of course, counter-strike servers. I think you should know what your talking about before randomly posting, because what the system spec lacks, the internet connection makes up. Also, based on teh way you speak, i feel that you have no understanding at all of how servers are hosted. They do not require a super amount of RAM.

As i said before, if your one looking to host your own gaming servers, the servers on here run fine. Make fun of the specs all you want, but the bottom line is it probably works just as well as your brand new 500 dollar a month computers.

:eek: 256 MB of RAM <- Are you sure? my old p3 which i put in trash a while ago used same amount of RAM, and consider the OS what you are talking about :confused: well maybe pings won't be too bad but fps - spikes would be quite constant if he goes with CS server (and i seriously doubt that machine could handle a 40 slot server, LMAO aren't there only 16-18 spawn spoints at cs) and anyways what's the point of discussing, he is selling someone is buyng, period. That would be the buyers fault if he would get something that is lacking resources ;)

If you cared to read at all, i said 40 slots that can be rearranged ANY WAY. In other words, u can host 4 10 player servers, u can host 2 20 player servers, i realy dont give.

Also, there are VERY few lag spikes, for anyone willing to try this, i will give a 24 hour test period in which u can load all ur friends into the server and see how much you lag, because if you live on the east coast or central US, you wont lag or spike at all.

You actually think 256MB RAM would support 4 x 20 player servers?

I think you will find that Game Servers do need lots of RAM, look at the big game server companies, even the smaller ones pack servers full of RAM, because Game Servers tend to eat up alot of RAM.

This is some kid trying to scam someone, Listen up kid I work at a game-server company, if you would like to go and visit our site and see what specs we run. You can see that there is nothing even below 1gb, hehehe, wow you made my day kiddo. Counter-strike now uses so much resources and the connection has nothing to do with it, if you dont have the ram then you lack a lot my friend

Okay, now it just got a bit personal.

I find it absolutely insulting that you would consider this to be a scam. Even if i was wrong, i never meant to trick anyone. However, the truth of the matter is that i've been able to host 4 20 player servers with this box.

At this point..seeing the objections, i guess this is probably not gonna work. But the sad point is seeing some dick just walk on here and claiming that i am trying to scam people.

I came to this server thinking that there would be friendly people, i did not come here to be accused of spamming, if i am indeed wrong about this (but as i said, i HAVE hosted 4 20 player CS servers with this), i was expecting a post politely saying that i was wrong.

At this point, i will leave my offer on the table for anyone to try, and i will offer a free trail as well, however, i do feel that ./thename owes me an apology for suggesting that i am trying to scam.

I came here expecting to find friendly people and great help-Little did i know that people like ./thename come here and accuse people without any proof.

He NEVER tried to trick anyone. He stated the FACTS about what was offered. If you want his offer fine, take it. If you don't what his offer, move on, read another post. Or better yet, make your own thread offering something and let someone come in and trash it.

These are YOUR opinions... Even if he said he had a P166 with 20MB of ram, it doesn't matter.... YOU use YOUR judgment! If it sounds like a sucky deal, DONT BUY IT! If it sounds GOOD, BUY IT! Its that simple!

:D I wasn't trashing his post, he made a statement, I said that it's the buyers fault if he will get a low performance server, secondly he made a statement of test server, which use an older version of steam protocol -> I.E. doesn't work with current version, so I asked a LEGITIMATE question and never got a reply to it. I DO NOT think that is trashing, I was just pointing out that even the test server isn't wroking with current version of STEAM <- which he didn't mention ;) So I apologize only for hurting his feelings <- if I did, but my post isn't "TRASH" in any way.
