Martin Hill 11-13-2001, 07:10 AM Is it hosted by RackShack.net? If not, what company?
What speed is it, and how much memory has it got?
What comes pre-installed? Does it have ChiliSoftASP?
thesmallguyshost 11-14-2001, 03:18 AM .
swissfreak 11-14-2001, 08:26 AM What software / applications are installed? standard (php....)?
How much RAM?
MrLister 11-14-2001, 10:21 AM why not go to rackshack.net and see.. it's their plan. this guy is just trying to resell it for more money.

Martin Hill 11-14-2001, 01:15 PM Do you blame him? It's a good profit margin for a tiny bit of work lol :)
But wait, he offers something RackShack.net don't!; "Full surport" :D
ReflexHost_M 11-14-2001, 01:30 PM Give the guy a break - it looks to be bitching in competitors thread, which is not allowed by forum rules.

Matt is right... please respect the thread starter/competitor here and I don't see anything wrong about the reselling deal.
Regards,
Choon
yes i am reselling it not for alot more though and i am willing to offer full surport in running the system for ppl who don't think there quite ready to admin a system on there own if you see my point
Get-Hosted.com 11-14-2001, 06:17 PM Hmm...
I never realized it was OK to go into a resellers offer, and tell any potential customers to go to the source, those really should be deleted.
Chicken 11-14-2001, 08:30 PM I've removed the competitor who piped in with comments, perhaps we should remove their abilities to post in the ad forums if they can't control themselves. We do allow other members to ask questions, and maybe it would have been better if you (JAW) presented it as an "offer full surport in running the system for ppl who don't think there quite ready to admin a system" as I've seen many comments from people looking for this. You handled it well though JAW.
edude 11-14-2001, 08:33 PM Am i a newbie or what, i still do not understand what surport is. Maybe chicken would care to explain the meaning to me :D

So explain to me why my post was removed because of commenting he's reselling a rackshack server... but someone else mentions the EXACT same point but his post is allowed to remain? Please show me the list of selective rules so I'll know how to follow them next time and not make another mistake.

Robin, as a professional host and competitor, it is piss-poor behavior to come to a thread of another host and post what you did. While we try to allow individuals to comment and question an offer, your position (being a host), means you should keep out of other host's threads and not make them look bad, as this is what you'd expect from other hosts if you posted an offer. *These* are the selective rules we enforce for those who do not realize that a common respect among colleagues, is needed.
I don't mean this to sound entirely as harsh as it does, and I ask you to understand that we do this to protect all hosts in these forums from eachother, including you if you post an offer. At times this (needless host commenting/bashing) has been problematic. It happens too much in all the forums.
The one exception to this is if a host posts a wild offer (ie: $1.95/mo. for unlimited everything), in which case the host is on their own. I personally will let anyone question the validity of the offer, as one host's reputation does not outweigh the possible fraud that would be experienced by all members.
We'd like everyone to participate in all of the forums, including you, however we ask that you treat anyone offering web hosting services with the same respect that you'd expect yourself.
If you have questions, please contact moderators@webhostingtalk.com and it can be discussed further.

Believe it or not I wasn't trying to make him LOOK bad nor insult him. The LOL was not intended to be an insult because I too am a Rackshack customer (in additional to other providers).

*Oops!* Errrrrr... well then I completely misunderstood the post, whups. Errr... well then that note isn't to you, rather errrr... other hosts, just in case? We actually got a report or two on it, so I wasn't the only one who misread it. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Good to have you on, but ummmm.... please don't bump the threads (bumping defined as posting two or more posts in a row to keep the thread at the top). Don't force me to mistakenly bitch you out as well now, heh.
sasjamal 11-17-2001, 03:27 AM hehe ill bump it for u
