Just some humor for those of you who have a dislike for NSI.
A friend of mine has a domain that is registered with NSI. It was setup through a third party, so he was not the billing contact. He put a request in to update the billing contact to himself.
Well it seems that NSI somehow screwed up this request and he is now the billing contact for dozens (possibly hundereds or thousands) of NSI registered domains.
He has recieved a few hundred e-mails asking why he is the billing contact for various domains.
If you have a domain with NSI, I'd suggest you go check your whois info.

That's quite impressive. When they screw up, they tend to do a mighty fine job of it. I can't feel a lot of sympathy for them really, having had to deal with their convoluted way of doing things for so long...
In fact only a week or so ago I filled our their transfer form at the new NetSol site, to move a domain from our old server to the new one (different nameservers). Got an e-mail from them saying the form was out of date and I should use version 6 (or whatever) instead.... and all this from filling out what I presumed would have been the best place - their own site *shrug*

ONE OF My customer was having web site with nsi. he changed the name server info and it was only reflecting properly in nsi who-is but in global domain registry it was still pointing towards old name servers. i email nsi 10 times but they never responded. then my customer called personally at nsi and after 2-4 handgups somebody assured him that his problem will be look after.
after 2 months customer blamed me for bad service. now how what can i do. i passed him all copies of emails communication with nsi. then he cancelled his account and got his money refunded.
nsi sucks.

Net Sol are clowns... I recommend other domain registrars to people at every opportunity I get.. End result is they pay less, and *everyone* has an easier time dealing with their account...

Here's another great story.... from today
Well i Just got off the phone with NSI myself, a while back I had a nice domain name i almost lost because I never got notification
they actually told me I lost it
But I attempted to make payment when it was on hold status
They eventually got back to me and said because i made attempt
at 5 minutes before the end date I can pay for it and get it back.
Well I paid for 2 years on the spot....... with credit card
that was about 6 months ago......... now again today after
checking my mail from po box i see my domain name with
LAST WARNING on it....... so its the domain.. I decided i better
play it safe than sorry and called.. They said i didnt make but one year payment at that time.. BS! and got another 35 bucks outta me, cuz i had no records and was going to lose it at the end of the day..
Remember that free tshirt stunt? pay for 2 years and get a free personalized tshirt? Well I bet, they knew they was selling to verisign and only charged me 1 year instead of 2 to get out of that free tshirt crap...... The **** suckers almost cost me my best domain for a tshirt I would of used to clean off my fukn tv screen with anyhow.

Yeah...how about that: a while ago your options were NSI or even crappier (anyone tried alldns.com? such a joke), but a year ago I decided to move my NSI domains to a different registrar, and of course months later I was still getting emails from NSI ("LAST WARNING..."). Tssss...
