I am having problems with my MS FTP Server, it was working fine and it just started giving the 426 Connection Closed when trying to upload. This is on a iis 5 server and I have not changed anything. This happens on all accounts, I have tried searching the knowledge Base and cannot come up with the answer.

It accepts the username but not the password and then gives error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried stopping and starting the service? Then rebooting the server? How is the server load?

Sometimes you have to reapply ownerships to all of the directories. :(

Yes I have tried stopping and starting the service a few times along with doing a reboot of the server. The load is next to nothing on this server.

Check your ownerships and see.

Are you sure that no software has been installed? no patches anything? might want to port scan your machine to see if any new ports are open, any new accounts have been installed.
