View Full Version : Domain Registration
Locutus 11-12-2001, 12:37 PM Does anyone use GoDaddy (http://registrar.godaddy.com) to register domains?
They sell US domains at only $8.95, which is really cheap (In the UK anyway).
If you do, or have any comments about them, please let me know :)

SoftWareRevue 11-12-2001, 12:49 PM I have some domains with them.
They're adequate.
I like the control you have at www.stargateinc.com better though.
They give you some things that GoDaddy charges you for.
Hussain 11-12-2001, 01:03 PM Could you please tell me in brief the difference between godaddy and stargateinc
Thanks
mantra 11-12-2001, 01:04 PM GoDaddy.com is a good service, but limited with free features. I have recently registered two domains with RegisterFly.com and so far so good. I also have a few domains with StarGateInc.com, which is also a great service.
Fremont Servers 11-12-2001, 04:08 PM I like GoDaddy.com prices, but they don't have a control panel for me to see all my domain names.
Right now, I am using registrars.com, but they are expensive.
One thing I like about them is that they have a control panel for all my domain names with them.
Anyway, I still want to hop registrar. :D
Locutus 11-12-2001, 04:13 PM Thanks guys for the suggestions.
Think I'll go with Stargate. It's the cheapest and I don't really need the free services. I'm registering domains for clients so I'll be parking them on my server anyway :)

Asia,
GoDaddy has that. You can see all domains you have. Log-on and there is a pull-down menu, you can see all domains you have there.
iamdave 11-22-2001, 04:21 PM Actually GoDaddy has a pretty neat and simple control panel to adminster all of your domains with 1 click.
*Go to their mainpage and click manage my names.
Fremont Servers 11-22-2001, 06:22 PM I use GoDaddy.
They are pretty good and cheap!
RotoHost 11-23-2001, 04:20 AM We've used them all in the past, but always come back to OpenSRS and their numerous resellers. You pay a little more but the simple, comprehensive interface, IMO, can't be beat.
avara 12-02-2001, 07:58 AM I like Dotster and Joker.com. Granted they charge a little more (especially Dotster), but you get what you pay for (unless of course you were unfortunate enough to choose Network Solutions).
GordonH 12-02-2001, 09:06 AM Check out
http://www.dotregistrar.com
Somewhat similar to OpenSRS inthat they are bulk only but rheir prices go down to $6.49
I have not used them.
Has anybody reading this used them?
We currently use OpenSRS and StargateInc.com
Have had a few reliabiliy issues with Stargate recently and considering a move.
Mind you, I am so lazy I will probably just send some more cash to Stargate..........
Its liveable with.

:bawling: I signed up with NS for my first domain! Sux.. Anyone have any experience with Joker.com? I'm using Doster now and it's been fine so far. Prices could be better through.
