Well, I have one of those gateway 6400 servers that were mentioned here a bit ago and currently it has 384MB of ram. Sometimes it reaches a peak, so I figured that while ram is cheap, I might as well throw in some more. I have the 128MB that came with it, and I also got a 256MB stick from crucial, and it has two slots left.

Another 256MB stick would bring it to 640MB which would probably do the trick and still leave a slot open. Or I could just get a 512MB stick and bring it up to 896MB but my question is that I thought I read *somewhere* that although there are no worries with 256 and below, but that the BIOS might have to be ummm... errrrr... adjusted (?) to accept the larger 512MB ram (I say this as I'm not sure, and this is the question). The motherboard can take the ram, I'm certain, but just this one issue makes me wonder.

Any words of wisdom on this?
