View Full Version : Instaling ASP on Linux server with cPanel/WHM

I have searched the forums, didnt find anything (i must of done something wrong) but i have instaled ASP onto my server, got the download from cpanel.net
But when i load an asp page i get the error
"Internal Server Error"

Any ideas?

Well most likely a Config error, the free version of ASP for Linux is a trick to get installed and running. I would have to say it is VERY unstable.

I have always wondered why anyone would want to run ASP on linux anyway. Isnt it bad enough on windows? Just my sad attempt at humor.

Funny you should say this. We are considering installing the Sun Java Active Server Pages 4.0 (previously Chillisoft ASP) so that we can offer ASP to our linux hosting customers. Is not worth it then. We are bit reluctant but it would seem that a lot of linux hosting providers are now offering it.

these days you can get a windows box for about the same price as a Linux box, and you can be sure asp and .net will function as it was designed
